Here are the arrangements for Bob Popovics.

Just a reminder that The Shady Rest will be closed on Monday 11/11 and Tuesday 11/12 for Bob's services.

Viewing at Timothy E Ryan Home for Funerals, St. Catherine's Blvd in Toms River on 11/11 from 3pm-7pm.

Funeral mass at St. Catharine's RC Church, Seaside Park, at 10am, followed by a procession to The Brigadier General William C Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightsville with services at 12:30pm sharp.

All services, except for the repast, are public and all are welcomed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Bob Popovics Memorial Scholarship Foundation 414 Barramore Ave Lanoka Harbor, NJ 08734. This scholarship fund will help students who will be going into environmental sciences, hospitality, or agriculture.

Farewell to a legend, innovator and major contributor to the flyfishing world.
Bob Popovics passed away today.
Just this past week, I was using several of his fly patterns and catching several beautiful large bass.
I condolences to his family and friends.

This morning’s low tide walk on the beach tells me that this afternoon I will be using Crab patterns on the outgoing tide.
I use a full sink line .
Included is a photo of a bass from around this time last year who took a crab..In fact, several bass did.
