The double under isnāt just about jumping higher and spinning the rope faster.š¤
It exposes how well you can control your body.
If you start in one spot and finish somewhere else, youāre drifting instead of moving straight up and down.
One thing that can help:
šŖ¢engage your corešŖ¢
Think about keeping your body stacked and controlled so you launch and land in roughly the same spot.
Less traveling.
More control.
Cleaner double unders.
Save this and check where you land the next time you jump.

Youāre having a hard time with consecutive double unders, I get it.⤵ļø
You need undeniable control of entering, executing, and exiting 1 double under before you start tying them together.
Get good at doing one and going back to a basic or boxer step.
From there, progress to doing 2, and returning to a basic or boxer step.
Getting lost in āXā amount of consecutive double unders is a recipe for disaster.
Your body might be able to keep going, but your brain gets excited by the multiples⦠next thing you know, you have no idea how to exit and you hit and miss.
š”You would never think it, itās easy to overlook, but thereās a tremendous amount of mental composure in this drill.
Get great at 1, then 2, then 3, and so on.
Have a goal and a plan.
Enter, execute, exit.
Same approach applies for 1, 10, 20, etc.

Jumping rope is only about doing tricks and fancy stuff if you want it to be about that.
Jumping rope is more than just cardio, itās a skill.
Youāre coordinating your hands and feet while controlling posture, rhythm, timing, and repeated landings.
When youāre new, youāre probably not very efficient at doing any of those
Thatās normal!
Start where you are, doing the best you can.
A few times a week, a few minutes per session.
