One of my favorite parts about owning a gym is that my son gets to spend so much time here with me.
But what makes me even happier is watching him join in and imitate all of you.
Kids are always watching. They pay attention to how we work, how we treat others, how we handle challenges, and whether or not we take care of ourselves. Every time he sees our members show up, work hard, encourage one another, and push through something difficult, he’s learning valuable lessons without even realizing it.
In this video, he’s jumping right in and doing what the other kids are doing during class. He may not realize it now, but these small moments are helping shape his confidence, work ethic, and belief in himself.
So thank you to all of our members for setting such a great example. You might think you’re just coming to the gym to get a workout in, but you’re also helping show the next generation what hard work, consistency, and community look like.
And as a dad, that means more to me than you know. ❤️
CrossFit Fairway Park
We help normal, everyday people lose weight, get stronger and feel better. DM us to Book your Free Intro Workout. Where we specialize in "Not Specializing".
CrossFit Fairway Park is a community based, strength and conditioning program. We combine gymnastic elements with weightlifting and cardio elements to make one very inclusive program. We want to be good inside the gym, to help us outside the gym. The biggest most fantastic aspect of our gym is the people. Without our strong community we would not be succeeding as we are.
Thinking about trying our gym but not sure where to start?
We offer two different ways to check us out:
✅ Free One on One Intro Session
Meet with a coach, learn about the gym, discuss your goals, and get a workout tailored to your fitness level.
✅ Drop In Class ($30)
Jump right into one of our regular classes and experience the atmosphere, coaching, and community firsthand. It’s a great way to see if our gym is the right fit for you.
One thing I’ve learned after years of coaching is that while some people can successfully work out alone, most people do better when they’re surrounded by others who encourage them, support them, and help keep them accountable.
Fitness is hard enough. Having a community behind you makes it a whole lot easier.
Send us a DM to schedule your first class. We’d love to meet you and help you get started! 💪

What a special night celebrating Daniel’s birthday! 🎉
Thank you to everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to come in for a workout and stay for the celebration afterward. Nights like these are a great reminder that our gym is so much more than barbells, pull up rigs, and workouts. It’s the people inside these walls that make this place special.
You guys are the heartbeat of this business, and we appreciate every one of you.
A huge shoutout goes to Coach John for organizing the event and running it from start to finish. The gym is fortunate to have someone who cares so much about bringing our community together.
And hearing that some of you stayed until nearly midnight tells me everything I need to know…you were having a great time! 😂
Here’s to good workouts, good friends, and making memories together. ❤️

It’s always a great day when our members begin performing skills they couldn’t do when they first started.
In this video, you’ll see Trevor crushing his double unders after months of consistent practice. In the beginning, we had him attempt double unders during workouts while modifying the total reps to maintain the intended stimulus. Week after week, those small practice sessions added up…and now look at him go.
That’s how progress usually works in CrossFit and in life. You don’t magically wake up one day with a new skill. You struggle through it, fail through it, practice it while frustrated, and eventually your body starts figuring it out.
For those of you still struggling with jump rope movements, the best thing you can do is keep attempting them during workouts, even if you need to lower the reps. Scaled practice is still practice, and consistency always wins in the end.
Way to go, Trevor! Proud of the work you’ve been putting in. 🔥

Shoutout to our Youth Athletes of the Month, brothers John and Matteo! 👏🔥
These two middle school athletes have been showing up consistently, putting in the work, listening to coaching, and improving week after week. And honestly, consistency is the most impressive thing a young athlete can develop.
Talent is great, but the kids who continue showing up…even on the days they’re tired or busy…are usually the ones who separate themselves over time.
Over the last few weeks we’ve really focused on technique, movement quality, and building strong foundations, and both boys have made huge strides in the right direction. Watching their confidence and athleticism improve has been awesome to see.
Proud of you guys. Keep working hard and staying consistent because it’s paying off. 💪
In this video, we’re showing both a regular handstand walk and a scaled version using the box.
For the scaled option, we place our feet on the box, lift the hips high into the air, and walk the hands in a half circle side to side before returning to the starting position. It’s a fantastic way to build shoulder strength, coordination, confidence, and body awareness without needing to fully handstand walk yet.
Getting inverted is incredibly important for overall functional fitness. As kids, many of us naturally spent time upside down…cartwheels, handstands, climbing, playing…and movements like these help us reconnect with that athleticism while improving strength and control.
And the best part? It doesn’t matter what level you’re starting at. There’s always a version of the movement that works for you at our gym. Progress starts with meeting yourself where you are and building from there.
One of my favorite ways to use my fitness outside of the gym is throwing on my ruck backpack, walking through the neighborhood, and reading while I move.
Fitness shouldn’t only exist inside four walls or for one hour a day during class. The real goal is building a body that allows you to enjoy more of life…more energy, more movement, more freedom, and more years doing the things you love.
That’s something I try to teach all of our members. Training isn’t just about looking better or lifting heavier weights. It’s about creating a lifestyle where movement becomes part of who you are.
Some days that’s crushing a workout in the gym. Other days it’s a quiet walk with weight on your back, fresh air in your lungs, and a good book in your hands.
Your fitness should improve your life, not consume it.
Push ups on the floor can be really difficult when you don’t yet have the strength to support your body properly…and that’s okay.
In this video, we’re using a box to scale the movement so we can maintain good form throughout every rep. One of the biggest issues with floor push ups for beginners is that the knees and thighs begin hitting the ground first, turning the movement into more of a “snake” motion instead of one strong, connected body position.
Our goal is to keep the body as rigid and controlled as possible from head to toe while moving through the push up.
We’re also dealing with a high amount of reps here, so strategy matters. Breaking the sets into smaller numbers like 5s, 3s, or even 2s can help manage fatigue while still maintaining quality movement.
Remember, scaling isn’t weakness…it’s the smartest way to build strength correctly and continue progressing safely.
