My absolute favorite pitch to throw.. the RISEBALL!!!

Why is this the last pitch thats typically learned?

It defys gravity 😱 you have to be throwing at a high velocity (speed at least mid 50s) and high spin rate for this pitch to even break. You need true backspin for a rise to climb instead of being just a high fastball. The release can be unforgiving- a small movement in your hand, wrist or fingers can create a whole different pitch.

BUT, it is also one of the most fun pitches to throw! And to be able to control the jump will only make you a more effective pitcher once its masteted. This is why us girlys are more superior- we get to throw the hard stuff! 💁‍♀️💁‍♀️
