Friends of Unicoi State Park and Community Members!

Mark your calendars! Our annual State Parks Day of Service is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. We will be sprucing up our state park, we will focus on planting wildflower seeds, giving our picnic tables a fresh coat of paint, cleaning the trails, and improving the pollinator garden.
It is a great opportunity to contribute to our community and enjoy a beautiful day outdoors.

To ensure we have enough supplies and food for everyone, we kindly request your RSVP by September 17th. We will provide lunch, drinks and dessert.

We are looking forward to a fun and productive day with you!

My recent visit to Anna's Italian Kitchen was a delightful experience. The service was impeccable; our server, Paige, was attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. The food is served family style and the courses just kept coming! I loved the table side Caesar salad and the boxed cannoli as the finale. It was a very enjoyable meal with friends. I highly recommend Anna's to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.

Friends of Unicoi State Park—a passionate group of volunteers who take pride in preserving one of Georgia's natural and great treasures. We're looking for passionate individuals to join us in making a lasting impact on our beautiful park. Whether you're interested in maintaining trails, assisting with events, or helping preserve the park's natural beauty, there's a volunteer opportunity for you!

Why Volunteer?

Volunteer Opportunities Available:
* Projects & Events: Help with park improvement projects and
exciting events throughout the year.
* Programming: Assist with educational programs and nature-
based activities.
* Volunteer Coordinating: Help organize and support our amazing
group of volunteers.
* Social Media Management: Share updates, stories, and events to
engage the community.
* Administrative Positions: Take on leadership roles as President,
Vice-President, Secretary, or Treasurer, and guide our
organization forward.

We have a monthly meeting to discuss upcoming events and projects, and assign volunteers to their tasks. We also discuss park updates, such as new amenities, programming, project needs, etc. Don't like meetings? No problem. There are always projects, such as maintaining trails and beautification. You can volunteer on your time.

Friends of Unicoi's Independence Day Event.

On July 4, Unicoi visitors were greeted with hot dogs, chili, watermelon, and lemonade. Ms. Anke's lemonade stand was a big hit with the little ones. We want to thank the park staff for their support and all of the Friends volunteers who helped with the event. A special shoutout to Al and Jane.
