Meet Ms. Abi! ❤️🖤

Ms. Abi has been teaching dance for 6 years and brings her creativity and energy to Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Jazz, along with training in many other styles!

One of her favorite parts of teaching, aside from getting to watch her dancers perform her crazy choreography, is seeing just how much they grow over time. ✨ She loves watching her students learn to express themselves through movement, build confidence, and have fun while doing it.

Ms. Abi hopes every dancer leaves her class feeling accomplished and proud of the work they put in, while genuinely enjoying themselves along the way. ❤️

And when she’s not in the studio? You can probably find Ms. Abi hanging out with her two cats, constantly decorating and rearranging her space, or thrifting for things she definitely doesn’t need. 😂

We love having Ms. Abi as part of our TJ’s faculty and can’t wait for another season of growth and creativity!❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Cassie! ❤️🖤

Ms. Cassie has been dancing for an incredible 35 years and teaching for 16 years! This season, you can find her teaching Leaps & Turns, Lyrical, and Strength & Stretch.

Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students grow, learn, and put their knowledge into practice. She especially loves those moments when a dancer remembers something they learned in her class and is able to apply it somewhere else. ✨

One of the biggest things Ms. Cassie hopes her dancers develop is critical thinking. She wants her students to learn how to think about their craft, understand the why behind what they’re doing, and use that knowledge to strengthen both their technique and artistry.

And a fun fact about Ms. Cassie? She loves all things spooky! 👻🖤

Meet Ms. Alex! ❤️🖤

Ms. Alex has been dancing since she was just 3 years old and has been teaching for 3 years! At TJ’s, you can find her sharing her love of Ballet with our dancers, although she also loves teaching Contemporary and Lyrical.

Her favorite part of teaching is connecting with her students and creating a classroom where they feel safe, encouraged, and free to learn and have fun. ✨

One of the biggest things Ms. Alex hopes her students discover is that while ballet is incredibly technical, it can also be playful, imaginative, magical, and FUN! 🩰 She loves helping her dancers experience both sides of the art form while building their skills and confidence along the way.

And when she’s not dancing or teaching, Ms. Alex loves to craft! Crochet is one of her favorite ways to spend her free time. 🧶

Meet Ms. Fay! ❤️🖤

We’re so excited to welcome Ms. Fay to the TJ’s faculty this season! While this is her first year on staff at TJ’s, she brings 10 years of experience teaching dance in public schools. This season, you can find her teaching Leaps and Turns!

Ms. Fay loves watching her students experience personal growth and accomplish their individual goals. For her, there’s nothing quite like seeing the smile on a dancer’s face when they realize their hard work has paid off. ✨

One of the biggest lessons she hopes her dancers take away from class is “progress, not perfection.” Skills aren’t mastered overnight. They take work, repetition, patience, and attention to detail. She encourages her dancers to give themselves grace, celebrate their improvements, and find joy in getting a little better each day.

And Ms. Fay has a very special connection to TJ’s: she danced at TJ’s for 16 years, and now her daughter dances here too! ❤️ Talk about full circle!

We absolutely love having a former TJ’s dancer return to the studio as a teacher and continue the legacy with the next generation. Help us welcome Ms. Fay to the TJ’s faculty! ❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Carolina! ❤️🖤

We’re so excited to welcome Ms. Carolina to the TJ’s team this season! With nearly 10 years of experience coaching acrobatics and movement, she brings an incredible combination of strength, precision, and artistry to our dancers.

Ms. Carolina specializes in Acrobatics, Dance-Acro, Flexibility, and Performance Conditioning. Her favorite part of teaching is guiding students through the hard work and determination it takes to master a challenging skill, and getting to see that moment when it finally clicks! ✨

Her goal is for every student to leave class feeling empowered, capable, and proud of their progress, while learning firsthand what hard work and consistency can accomplish. 💪

And a pretty amazing fun fact about Ms. Carolina: she competes as an IFBB Pro in the Fitness Division! Her experience combines athletic power with elements of performance and gymnastics, something she loves bringing into her teaching.

We’ve loved having Ms. Carolina join us at TJ’s and are so excited for everything she’ll bring to our dancers this season. Help us give her a warm welcome! ❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Carrington! ❤️🖤

Ms. Carrington has been dancing for 14 years and is returning for her second year of teaching! This season, you can find her teaching Level 2 Ballet, Tap, and Jazz.

Her favorite part of teaching is watching her students grow and gain confidence in themselves. She loves seeing her dancers step outside of their comfort zones, take on new challenges, and have fun along the way! Creating a classroom filled with motivation and positivity is something that truly fills her heart. ✨

One of the biggest lessons Ms. Carrington hopes her dancers take away from class is that you can do anything you set your mind to. She encourages her students to work through obstacles with a growth mindset, take pride in what they’re capable of, and always have the confidence to be their unique selves, both inside and outside of the studio!

And a fun fact about Ms. Carrington? She is currently a student at UTSA studying Biology! 🧬📚

We’re so happy to have Ms. Carrington back for another season at TJ’s and can’t wait to see all the growth, confidence, and fun happening in her classroom this year! ❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Hope! ❤️🖤

Ms. Hope has been dancing for 14 years and is celebrating her 4th year teaching at TJ’s! This season, you can find her teaching Jazz, Tap, Skills, Leaps & Turns, Strength & Flexibility, and Lyrical!

Her favorite part of teaching is being able to challenge her dancers and watch them grow as they meet those challenges head-on. ✨

One of the most important things Ms. Hope wants her dancers to remember is that class is a place for mistakes and growth. It’s okay to be bad at something you’ve never tried before. What matters is that you keep trying! We love the confidence and resilience she encourages in her dancers both inside and outside the classroom.

And a fun fact about Ms. Hope? She has 8 pets! 🐾 Yes, EIGHT!

We’re so grateful to have Ms. Hope returning to the TJ’s faculty for another season and love watching her continue to pour into our dancers year after year.❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Cynthia! ❤️🖤

We’re so excited to welcome a new face to the TJ’s faculty this season, Ms. Cynthia! She has been dancing for 26 years and teaching for about 13 years, and this year you can find her teaching Jazz!

One of Ms. Cynthia’s favorite parts of teaching is watching that “light bulb” moment happen for a dancer. She loves seeing when something finally clicks and the confidence that comes along with it! ✨

In her classroom, Ms. Cynthia hopes to help dancers refine their technique and foundation, while also encouraging them to discover their own individual movement quality. Her goal is for each dancer to feel confident in who they are, both as a dancer and as an individual.

And her fun fact is a pretty amazing one! Ms. Cynthia spent the majority of six years living on a ship and performing for Disney Cruise Line! 🚢✨

We have absolutely loved having Ms. Cynthia at TJ’s so far and are so happy to have her as part of our team. ❤️🖤

Meet Ms. Mya! ❤️🖤

Ms. Mya has been dancing for 20+ years and teaching for over 5 years! Her experience also includes spending two years as the JV Drill Team Director at Clark High School. This season at TJ’s, you can find her teaching Contemporary, Jazz, Dance Team Prep, and some of our Preschool classes!

Her favorite part of teaching is getting to share her passion for dance with others and watching her students develop, grow, and master new skills and concepts. ✨

One thing Ms. Mya hopes every dancer takes away from her classroom is knowing that it’s okay to make mistakes because that’s where some of the best learning happens!

And there’s another side to Ms. Mya that we love! Along with her passion for dance and the arts, she has a love for science. She earned her B.S. in Dance Science from Texas A&M (Gig ’Em! 👍) and is currently pursuing her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Baylor (Sic ’Em! 🐻).

We’re so lucky to have Ms. Mya sharing her knowledge, experience, and love of dance with our TJ’s dancers! ❤️🖤
