As a dedicated, volunteer powered nonprofit, we make equine interactions and the wellness they bring accessible and enjoyable for everyone in our community. With the help of our four senior therapy horses, we foster community connection and promote wellness through engaging and inclusive events. Our programs also aim to increase awareness of the human-animal bond, building empathy and care for animals. Join us in our mission to create a healthier, more connected community.

☕🐴 Coffee with Horses: A Morning of Gratitude💛

Join us on Saturday, September 26 from 8:30–10:30 AM for a very special Coffee with Horses as we celebrate the incredible donors, foundations, community partners, volunteers, and supporters who help make T.H.E. Center possible!

This will still be the Coffee with Horses you know and love, with all of your favorite ranch activities to enjoy:

☕ Coffee & iced coffee
🍩 Pancakes
🐴 Meet our therapy horses & miniature horses
🥕 Feed carrots to our full-size horses
🐔 Visit our Chicken Connection area
🎨 Arts & crafts
💛 Visit our Gratitude Corral
🌞 And plenty of time to slow down, enjoy the outdoors, and connect with our community!

This morning will also have a little extra heart. 💛 We’ve invited many of the donors, foundations, and community partners who have supported T.H.E. Center this year so they can see firsthand the community, connection, and joy their generosity helps create.

Whether you’ve supported T.H.E. Center, volunteered with us, attended one of our events, or are visiting for the very first time, we would love to have you join us for this special morning of gratitude.

💚 Why Our Lessons Matter 🐴

At T.H.E. Center, our Ground Lessons are about so much more than spending time with animals. They are about connection — between people, animals, volunteers, and the world around us. 💚

Through the human-animal bond and time spent outdoors, our students have opportunities to build confidence, practice independence, learn responsibility, explore their senses, try new things, and simply enjoy being outside.

🐴 Grooming and caring for a horse can build trust and confidence.
🐔 Spending time with our chickens can encourage patience, kindness and empathy.
🌻 Our sensory garden and ranch provide opportunities to explore, move and experience nature.
🤝 Our volunteer teams provide encouragement, friendship and support along the way.

And maybe one of the most important benefits of all...

FUN. ❤️

The smiles. The laughter. The proud “I did it!” moments. The quiet moments between a student and an animal that sometimes say more than words ever could.

Every lesson looks a little different because every person who comes through our gates is different.

Different abilities. Same opportunity to belong, connect and grow. 💚🐴

That is the heart of our lessons.

Thank you to everyone who came out and spent their Saturday morning with us at Coffee with Horses! We loved welcoming our community back to the ranch, sharing smiles, coffee, time with our horses, and kicking off the “ber” months together. 🤎

There’s something extra special about seeing the ranch filled with families, friends, volunteers, and neighbors enjoying a morning outdoors together. We are so grateful to everyone who continues to show up, support our mission, and make these mornings so meaningful.

And don’t forget… our next Coffee with Horses is an extra special one! ✨

🐴💜 A Little Note from Footsie & Sterling…

Well… we worked VERY hard at Coffee with Horses today. 😂

We stood around looking adorable, accepted LOTS of pets, gave out a few horsey kisses, and spent the morning making new friends. 🐴💕

Our favorite part? Watching little hands start out a little unsure and then reach toward us with a smile. 💜 That’s what Coffee with Horses is all about — slowing down, making a connection, and sharing a little bit of our world with our community.

We met new friends, saw some familiar faces, and received LOTS of love. We’d say it was a pretty successful morning! 🥰🐴

Sometimes teens just need a place to unplug, breathe, connect and be themselves.

Our Just for Teens Equine Encounter gives teens ages 13–17 an hour away from screens and everyday pressures to spend time with our horses, learn grooming and horse communication, build confidence, laugh, take pictures and make some real memories. 🐴💜

No horse experience needed — just come as you are!

Today our volunteers have been busy washing, decorating, setting up and adding all those little touches that make the ranch ready to welcome our community. 💛🌻

We can’t wait to open the gates tomorrow, share our amazing ranch, introduce you to our animals and spend the morning connecting with our community. 🐴🐓☕❤️

And if you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to be part of this…” tomorrow is a great day to start! 🙌

🌟 Volunteer Orientation is at 10:30 AM, right after Coffee with Horses.

At T.H.E. Center, we love creating a space where families can slow down, connect with one another, spend time with our therapy horses, and simply enjoy being together.

Because sometimes a little fresh air, a gentle horse, and someone you love beside you is exactly what you need. 🌿🤎

Thursday Evenings at T.H.E. Center 🐴🌻

Sometimes the best evenings aren’t about a scheduled lesson… they’re about connection. 💛

Tonight our Lessons Team spent time loving on the minis, decorating and adding a little more color to our Sensory Garden, laughing together, and just enjoying being at the ranch. 🌸🐴

We also squeezed in some Gratitude Coffee with Horses planning and, because we can’t help ourselves… a little Halloween plotting too! 🎃👻🐴

These quieter evenings are where friendships grow, ideas happen, and our animals get a little extra love. ❤️

And we have Thursday evening lesson spots available! If you’ve been thinking about joining us, we’d love to have you.

Because at T.H.E. Center, even when there isn’t a lesson on the schedule… there’s always something meaningful happening. 🥰🐴🌻

Today, we’re thankful for the people behind the moments you see at T.H.E. Center.

Our volunteers give their time, energy, and hearts to help care for horses like Red, welcome our community, support our programs, and keep our little ranch running. 🌿

We are incredibly proud to be a volunteer-powered organization, and we simply could not do what we do without this amazing team. 🥹🐴❤️
