The Village of Hempstead Department of Parks & Recreation is thrilled to present the Summer Music Academy, a FREE music program designed for young people ages 10 to 17 right here in our community.

This summer's theme celebrates the horn section: trumpet, trombone, and saxophone. Under the leadership of Music Director Everton Bailey, participants will spend six weeks developing their craft and their confidence.

Dates: Monday, July 6 – Thursday, August 13, 2026
Time: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Hempstead families, Swimming Lessons are back at Kennedy Park Pool and we want YOUR children in the water this summer!

The Inc. Village of Hempstead Department of Parks & Recreation is offering swim instruction for kids ages 5–15, plus dedicated evening sessions for adults, seniors, and veterans.

Here's everything you need to know:
🧒🏾 Youth Lessons (Ages 5–15) — $60/child per session

📅 Session 1: July 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16 | 10:00–10:45 AM

📅 Session 2: July 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 | 10:00–10:45 AM
👤 Adult Lessons — $70 | Seniors & Veterans — $40
