ONLY A COUPLE DAYS LEFT TO REGISTER FOR THE EAST TEXAS FLAG FOOTBALL SEASON. PRACTICES ARE SUPPOSED TO START NEXT WEEK BUT AS OF NOW WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH COACHES TO START THE SEASON.

If we don't find more volunteer coaches by this weekend we may have to postpone the start of the season and disappoint a lot of kids.

Remember you don't have to be a dad to coach. You could be a mother, uncle, aunt, cousin, older sibling, a friend, or just someone that wants to be involved with kids and the community.

All volunteer coaches will receive support from the league if requested.

Every year we struggle to find volunteer coaches. Two of the previous three years we have had to postpone the start of a division because we didn't have enough coaches. Each year some coaches have had to coach two teams.
We know most parents are busy but it only requires an hour a week for practice and a couple hours on Saturday having fun at the game.
Remember you don't have to be a dad to coach. You could be a mother, uncle, aunt, cousin, older sibling, a friend, or just someone that wants to be involved with kids and the community.

This fall the EAST TEXAS FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE will begin offering a HIGH SCHOOL WOMEN DIVISION. We are adding this division to give local young ladies an opportunity to earn a flag football scholarship that is now being offered by over 100 colleges and universities across the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA, including East Texas Baptist University (Marshall, TX.) and Wiley University (Marshall, TX.)

Clarification: The East Texas Flag Football registration fee is $80 for 1st Child, $60 for sibling and $25 for 'Head Coach CHILD. WE DO NOT CHARGE VOLUNTEER COACHES! If you don't have a child playing there is NO Charge for coaching. You don't owe us, we owe you.

Also, if you are considering becoming a sponsor there is still time to sponsor a TEAM or PLAYER before registration August 29.

1) REFEREES - Must be 16 years old (Training provided if needed)
2) COACHES - Must be 18 years old (League will assist with practice structure and locations if requested)
3) SCORE TABLE HELP - Must be able to keep score.
4) CONCESSION STAND HELP - No money handling involved
5) NEED TO RENT TRAILOR FOR SEPTEMBER AND NOVEMBER.
