How to Tie Your Belt
There are many ways to tie your belt, but we mainly teach only 2 versions to simplify tying it quickly.
Small difference between strikes, but a slash is performed differently than a smash. Though they can enter in at the same angle as our 12 Strikes, the technique changes for different reasons. Here’s a quick comparison.

Adding Stick Fighting into the mix.
After Nationals, I realized my head defaulted back to brawling while fighting off sickness to my stomach the whole day. I was only barely able to scrape by with a single 1st place victory. It’s not how I got there in the first place.
On the other side of the spectrum, .fit used what we’ve been building and won two 1st place medals using our system.
No more excuses! We’re pulling out all the stops and upping our game as National Champions with our own Stick Fighting program circling around weapon affinity and sparring drills.

WEKAF National Tournament
Congrats to all the competitors yesterday on a long but great tournament!
I wasn’t the only one sick that day as we put our all into our matches. Even .fit asked why I was moving so sluggish compared to earlier that week (I was in and out of the bathroom all day). Still, we managed to push through and take home first place as National Champions!
Amazing job, .fit .dechavez and everyone at and everywhere on an amazing day!

WARNING: We all know what can happen in training.
Running drills even with a padded stick, we all know students can miss their target… was not prepared for my head to take the brunt of it. Don’t let anyone tell you padded sticks can’t hurt you. We still finished our drills.
