đź’ˇ How do we live out our Christian values at work?
Every day, we step into workplaces that have their own culture and values. The question is: do those values align with our faith?
As believers, we are called to be salt and light in every setting—including the workplace. When we live with integrity, compassion, and purpose, we bring a bit of God’s Kingdom wherever we go.
But here’s something to think about: only 17% of employees in the U.S. strongly agree with their company’s values (Gallup). That means most people are working in places that don’t reflect what really matters to them.
So before you take that next job, ask questions:
✍️ What are their values—and how are they lived out?
🙏 Do they match yours?
đź“– Can you live out your faith openly, honestly, and without compromise?
Write your values down. Pray over them. Then look for workplaces where you can thrive—not just succeed.
Remember, the right job won’t require you to set your faith aside. ❤️

Do you ever feel like you have to leave your faith at the door when you head into work? The workplace may not always encourage open conversations about God—but that doesn’t mean we stop walking and praying with Him throughout the day.
The Bible reminds us: "Rejoice always, pray continually."
(1 Thess. 5:16-17)

Prayer doesn’t have to be loud or public to be powerful. 🌷
đź’» Whisper a prayer at your desk as you start your day.
📝 Ask God for wisdom before a meeting.
🤝 Lift up a struggling co-worker in silent intercession.
💡 Keep a heart posture of gratitude—even in the chaos.
Imagine what God might do if you invited Him into every part of your day! Try It! Watch how your peace, joy, and clarity grow. đź’•

What’s Your Vision for the Future?
Do you know where you’re headed, or are you simply setting goals without a clear purpose? Without a vision, even the best goals can feel disconnected and unmotivating.
A vision gives your goals meaning and direction. It’s the bigger picture of where you want to be and what truly matters to you. Once you’ve created a compelling vision, you can break it down into actionable goals that move you closer to your ideal future—whether it’s advancing in your career, building meaningful relationships, or creating lasting impact.
Take time today to reflect: What does success look like for you? What goals will bring that vision to life? Write it down, create a plan, and start aligning your daily actions with your long-term dreams.
✨ Your future starts with your vision. Define it. Set goals. Make it happen with Dr. Deb!

What are your top priorities for 2025? 🌟
As you set goals for the new year, consider creating a Life Plan. It starts with defining your priorities. When something is a true priority, you’ll make the time to achieve it. Too often, we set "lofty goals" that don’t align with our real priorities, leaving them without the focus and discipline needed for success.

Are you aware of the pitfalls that even successful managers face when they transition into coaching roles? I wondered why leaders would hesitate to learn the art of coaching. In my research, I discovered the challenges that proficient managers encounter when they assume coaching responsibilities.
A prevalent issue is the "Peter Principle," which suggests that individuals are promoted based on their performance in previous roles until they reach a level where they are not skilled and lack the training and support they need. This often results in exceptional individual contributors struggling to lead and develop their teams effectively.
Another challenge is the "Curse of Knowledge," where experts find it difficult to impart their skills to others, hindering their ability to coach effectively.
Here are several misconceptions that deter managers from embracing coaching according to Ruchira Chaudry in her book, "Coaching: The Secret Code to Uncommon Leadership."
1. Coaching is not real work: Some managers perceive coaching as a secondary task, not integral to their primary responsibilities.
2. Time constraints: The belief that coaching demands excessive time leads managers to prioritize other tasks.
3. Lack of interest: Managers who excel as individual contributors may lack the enthusiasm to lead and develop others.
4. Fear of being outperformed: Concerns about subordinates surpassing them can make managers reluctant to coach effectively.
5. Coaching as a dumping ground: Viewing coaching as a means to offload tasks rather than a developmental tool undermines its effectiveness.
To overcome these challenges, Chaudhary emphasizes the importance of:
-Developing coaching skills: Managers should be coached and learn coaching skills.
-Providing regular feedback: Constructive feedback is essential for team development and should be a continuous process, not once a year.
-Balancing management and coaching: Effective leaders find equilibrium between directing tasks and supporting their team's growth.
By addressing these areas, managers can transition into successful leader-coaches, fostering an environment where both individuals and organizations thrive. Are there other misconceptions that you have faced and have overcome? Share in the comments below. 👇
