A la edad de 75 años, el miembro del Salón de la Fama, Richard Steele sigue haciendo grandes cosas por la salud de un buen boxeo profesional. Recientemente, el Sr. Steele anunció la firma del contrato de manejo con el sensacional prospecto guatemalteco Lester Martínez, quien será promovido por Latin Arms Promotions, una compañía recientemente creada con sede en Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lester Martínez, un súper mediano de 23 años, tuvo una larga carrera como boxeador amateur. Ganó la medalla de plata en el Campeonato Mundial Juvenil de Boxeo siendo derrotado únicamente por el excelente boxeador y campeón Kevin Brown en una decisión muy cerrada. Como ejemplo de su creciente carrera, ganó la medalla de oro en los juegos de Centroamérica y el Caribe, derrotando al medallista de oro olímpico cubano Arlen López.
Según Aldo Mir, CEO de Latin Arms Promotions y Stephen Reid, presidente de la misma compañía, tienen grandes planes no solo para Lester sino para otros cinco boxeadores, que ya han firmado con Richard Steele y cuyos nombres se anunciarán próximamente. El futuro del boxeo latino promete ser brillante. El objetivo es hacer más estrellas al nivel de Julio César Chávez, Roberto Durán y Óscar de la Hoya. Las nuevas estrellas harán que Canelo Álvarez trabaje más para mantener su corona.
Richard Steele ya hizo grandes planes para Lester, y lo envió a México para comenzar en el campo de boxeo para su primera pelea y evento profesional. Lester será entrenado por la leyenda mexicana Ignacio "Nacho" Beristain. Este primer evento se llevará a cabo el 6 de abril en Guatemala, donde Lester será apoyado y visto por miles de sus fans, seguidores y amigos guatemaltecos. Lester se ha convertido en un ícono de los deportes en su país natal, donde fue seleccionado el deportista del año 2018.
Según Richard Steele y Latin Arms Promotions, el oponente de Lester será un ex campeón mundial muy conocido, no un jornalero. Su calidad y talento demostrarán en esta pelea su calibre como boxeador y el hecho de que estamos ante un fenómeno en el boxeo profesional.

Lester Martinez, a 23 year-old super middleweight had a long career as an amateur boxer. He won the silver medal in the Youth World Boxing Championship being defeated only in a very close decision by excellent boxer and champion Kevin Brown. As an example of his growing career, he won the gold medal in the Central American and Caribbean games, defeating the Cuban Olympic Gold medalist Arlen Lopez.

Richard Steele has already made big plans for Lester, sending him to Mexico to start in boxing camp for his first professional fight and event.
