Welcome to N Zone Sports Henderson / Las Vegas!
We are a youth education company that uses sports to teach values and basic fundamentals to children.
Our goals are to expose the participants to as many sports as possible in order to allow them to understand how to move, hand eye coordination, foot eye coordination, and a team environment.
We do this by using a technique called spaced repetition to increase the speed of learning. Spaced repetition -- in the sports context -- means exposing the child to different techniques using drills; new techniques are repeated more often while techniques learned in the distant past will be repeated less often. Studies show that learning is more effective when sessions are spaced out.
How we do this is by teaching a different sport every 2-3 weeks and then repeating the same sport after the cycle is finished. For example, in weeks 1-2 we will teach the children how to dribble and shoot a basketball. We will then re-visit that same lesson in weeks 9-10; however, we will use different drills to teach it. The children will then have been exposed to it twice in a spaced out manner, thus increasing learning and retention.
Our coaches are all background checked, have years of experience playing and coaching sports, and also have experience working with kids. Here are some bios of our coaches:
