The 2026 XC season has started strong!

Today marked the third meet of the season for high school and the second for middle school.

Noah Barreto broke the middle school record for the 1.7 mile in Moapa by a minute, and then broke his own record by another minute today at the Palo Verde Labor Day Classic.

Last week, in Moapa, Keegan Vasquez was a top ten finisher for the girls and less than half a minute off the girls school record!

CORRECTION: Two-Time State Champion! Wayne just grabbed his second state title this year in the High Jump. This is already a pretty special achievement, and he still has one more chance for a third state title when he goes for the Triple Crown for jumping when he competes in the Triple Jump. Wowza!

STATE CHAMPION! Congratulations to our junior, Wayne Budd, for winning the 2A NIAA State Championship at Hug High School (Reno, NV). Wayne broke his own school record by jumping 21 feet in today’s State Meet. Congrats Wayne!

Congratulations Sadie on winning this scholarship and for being recognized by the NIAA as a Top-10 student-athlete in the State of Nevada. Sadie is the third student-athlete to be a recipient of this award joining Olivia Charron (2023), and Ripper Riffel (2024). Thank you to for investing in all of the student-athletes across the great state of Nevada.
