We'll be discussing the Sustainability Improvement Project at O'Callaghan Park and how the City is complying with Nevada's Non-functional Grass Law. This involves removing selected sections of decorative turf and replacing them with beautiful, drought-tolerant plants and trees. 🏜️

It’s raining kittens at The Animal Foundation, and when it rains, it pours! We have dozens of adorable kittens that we urgently need to place in foster homes.

To try and get as many kittens into homes as possible, today from 4 pm to 6 pm, you can walk straight into our Low-Cost Clinic and leave with a litter of foster kittens!

🐱 You must be 18 years or older.

🐱 We’ll need a foster application on file for you. You can fill one out ahead of time https://bit.ly/3ThSelW to speed up the process, or you can fill one out in person at the shelter.

🐱 We’ll teach you how to care for your kittens, but in the first few days, you’ll be required to complete an online kitten course found here: https://bit.ly/3Jj9bYg.

🐱 Fostering kittens is a fun and rewarding experience. We will provide you with everything you need to care for the kittens — you just need an open heart and an open mind!

Husky mixes! Chihuahua mixes! Terrier mixes! Bully mixes! And yes, puppies and kittens will be available for adoption this weekend at the Everyday Adoption Center inside the PetSmart located at 286 W Lake Mead Parkway, Henderson.
All weekend, adoption fees for adult dogs will be reduced to $50 and adult cats to $30.
Puppies (under 1 year old) are $150 and kittens (also under 1 year) are $100.

The Animal Foundation has teamed up with the City of Las Vegas Government to offer free microchips to pet owners during the month of December.

Most lost animals who end up at The Animal Foundation have homes and families who love them, but only about 50 percent of lost dogs and cats who come to the shelter are microchipped. This prevents the shelter from helping these pets reunite with their families.
