As our Wildcats league takes a break I want to take a moment to congratulate Rebecca Whitten, Camel Wammels, who recently signed to play with Covenant House.

Rebecca is the player you want on your team. She’s hard working, always positive, and eager to learn and improve. I’ve enjoyed getting to be part of her journey and watching her grow as a player and as a person, and I can’t wait to see her play in college. 😊

Hey everyone!
It’s AAU season and I’m getting tons of requests for players wanting to join our team.

While we don’t have any youth teams this season we have started a new women’s basketball league for 8th graders and up.

I’ve found that our younger players improve a lot in a short amount of time playing against seasoned players, many who played high school, college, and some in Europe.

If you have a player interested in the women’s league, we play September - April at the Community Church in Hendersonville, please email me at [email protected]. A new season starts on Sunday!

All three of our teams played this weekend in the MSYS Mid State Spring Showcase. Our 6th grade and Varsity High School teams played hard but didn’t place this weekend. We are always proud of their hard work and perseverance in these tournaments!

Congrats to the 7th grade Wildcats for consecutive 2nd and 1st places finishes over the last two weeks. These young ladies are really starting to come together as a complete team and they have proven that hard work pays off. Way to bring home the gold medal this weekend girls! 🥇🏆

Popularity in women's basketball gains momentum as fan base soars This weekend, we have more college hoops and right now women's basketball is scoring more fans than ever.

Congratulations to our Wildcats 7th Grade team this weekend for bringing home the silver medal in the MSYS Mid State Next Generation tournament! All the girls came together, put in the effort, and fought hard this weekend! It was so fun to watch them play so hard! 🏀

As of today we have two more spots to fill on team Camel Wammels. We’re a fun league ranging from “I have never played before” to “I played college and never stopped playing”. There’s a spot for everyone on our teams.

Our first round of the Wildcats Women’s Basketball League was a success and we’re ready for round two (1/13-2/25). The tornado did some damage to our community church gym in Hendersonville so all games will be played at the NYBA Academy, 2420 Batavia Street in Nashville.

The official sign up for new players starts today! 4 of 7 teams are already full so secure your spot early. We’d love for you to join us. The age last round was HS to mid-50’s. 😁
