Grip strength is often called a “vital sign of aging” because it provides valuable insight into overall health, function, and longevity.
Research has linked lower grip strength to increased risk of falls, disability, hospitalization, and even premature mortality.
While it may seem like a simple measure of hand strength, grip strength reflects the health of the entire musculoskeletal and nervous systems.
