New date for our duals. It will be on Saturday instead of Sunday. It’s the only day gyms are available. I am still making the rosters and it looks like it’ll be packed!

We plan to run them from around 11sh-4sh.

Great turnout with nearly 40 kids today at the Henrietta gym! Those are great numbers for September!

Girls high school wrestling continues to explode across the country, and the numbers are pretty crazy when you actually look at them.

During the 2025/26 season, 88,771 girls competed in high school wrestling; That’s a 19.9% increase in just one year.

There are now 8,853 schools sponsoring girls wrestling. But this is the number that really caught my attention:

In 2021–22, there were 31,654 girls competing. Now we’re at 88,771.

Think about that for a second.

In just four years, girls wrestling has gone from 31,654 participants to nearly 89,000.

That kind of growth is hard to ignore.

Girls wrestling is quickly becoming one of the fastest-growing high school sports in the country, and honestly, I don’t think we’ve even come close to seeing where this is headed yet.

For those of us who have been around girls wrestling for a while, it’s pretty awesome to watch.

Everyone keeps asking about the new gym. It’s being worked on daily. Air conditioning was installed the other day. Most of the work left to do is required by the city. I sprayed the walls of the S&C room yesterday. We will give everyone a heads up for a moving weekend once we have a date! It’s very exciting watch it all come together!
