Something for my Karate friends and family.
But also applies to life in general, how many times have you heard the phrase 'Use it or Lose it'? To be proficient or an expert at something you must practice it until it becomes second nature and happens without thought.
This, to me, ties into Miyamoto Musashi's training of emptiness or 'Mind, No Mind' approach. Know your technique so well that it comes without thought, thinking will slow down your ex*****on.

" Your kata will talk to you "

One of the last things Nagamine Takayoshi Sensei told me, before leaving Cincinnati to return home to Okinawa in 1979. If you have been training correctly, you will understand this quote.

Interesting demo. I don't understand what's being said but watching the hip dynamics and how it is applied to multiple techniques that we practice through kata is intriguing.
