What are your thoughts on PEPTIDES?

After 2 years of reading about them, studying them, trying to find actual human research, I have decided to jump in.

Would love to know your experience with them. Any of your clients on them?

I know that GLP-1's work. I have watched multiple people lose weight, get their labs in order, and a host of other things. Unfortunately, I have also seen many of those numbers go back after they stop.

I am using them to treat a specific condition I have that has not gotten better despite spending $1,000's for every "alternative" and traditional treatment I have been made aware of.

I will be documenting my journey regularly and giving updates. I was just wondering if anyone else has gone down this journey and what your results may have been.

Thank you and God bless,

I know you are probably thinking my wife must have issues with her sight!

I feel blessed that every day she is in my life. 30 years is such a long time, yet it sure doesn't seem that way....

I know I have gotten caught up with things that, in hindsight, just weren't that important. I know I have made so many mistakes through the years. But you, Christi, was the ONLY decision I know was right.

I am not sure how much longer you will put up with me. I think 30 years is quite a lot to ask from one person, and I certainly won't blame you.

Thank you for all you have done, and keep doing, every day. I just don't know how you keep doing it....

THANK YOU, and GOD BLESS YOU.....

Have you ever wondered how some of our sports got named so poorly?

Most normal people don't look at things like this, but of course I do....

Why do we call a sport that is all about moving weight, without power, called Powerlifting? Why do we call a sport that is almost completely about power Weightlifting?

Where did we go wrong? We're the people that named these things making a joke to see if anyone would notice?

Just something to think about over the weekend.

Thank you and God bless,

Thank you Reacher!

Finally- a mainstream TV show makes a statement for Functional Health. Sure, a small step when it comes to overall health, but a HUGE step when it comes to fitness education.

Reacher didn't get into all of the science, or tell the guy why, he just said "bench press is stupid".... Lol...

He couldn't be more on the mark. It is just plain "stupid" for the reasons 99% of the world uses it. Without getting too nerdy about it, it doesn't make sense to have your entire lower body supported to create an environment that won't show up in real life. I used to tell all my football playing athletes, if you are on your back at the end of the play, it means you probably did something wrong. If we look at force generation, the for the bench press comes from the first part of the body that is stabilized, so let's just say behind the shoulder girdle.

If we look at real life, as we follow the load down the body, the first part of our cost that is 'artificially' stabilized are your feet touching the ground. That means when you push from a standing position YOU must stabilize your entire board down to your feet. In a bench press, your entire core is 'fake' stabilized from the bench. Your core does not have to stabilize the spine nor does it have to transfer load from the feet.

In football we used to tell guys that were big from working out with 'artificial' stabilizers from gym equipment and didn't train functionally, that they "looked like Tarzan, but hit like Jane". Sorry Jane, no offense....

If you disagree, or need any further explanation on why bench press makes no sense in sports, except powerlifting, (don't get me started on why 'power'lifting is such a horrible name for that sport), just comment below.

Why are we getting this all wrong?

If at least 80% of all disease and deaths occur from LIFESTYLE choices, why aren't trainers certified as Lifestyle Coaches?

For 99.9% of our clients it just doesn't matter how many reps they do of any exercise. The difference between 5X5 or 3X10 doesn't add up to a hill of beans.

So, why do trainers focus on that?

It is because that is what they are taught. If the fitness industry does not change, quickly, trainers will become almost obsolete.

Anyone can Chatgpt to get an amazing workout program. Honestly, if the right variables are inputted, Chatgpt will make a better program than most trainers can create. (Sorry, just being truthful)

What can't AI do better? It can't be human. It can't look into the clients eyes and actually care deeply about them. It can't coach and encourage and give feedback like a great trainer can. I don't think it ever will be able to do that.

Trainers need to focus on the soft skills, the lifestyle factors, the things that don't cost money to truly help their clients. It isn't about having the breakthrough science on rep counting, or new machines, or even new lifting techniques or supplements.

It is about old fashioned caring. Which means asking the tough questions that may be awkward at first. Asking them how they deal with stress. How their relationships are doing. How often they s**t. How often do they drink alcohol. How do they sleep. What is their relationship with food.

Those things mean so much more than if they listened to the latest influencer pushing some supplement or new lifting technique.

Take care and God bless,

This is the problem with the fitness world!

It shouldn't be about the freaks that have made themselves amazing in one aspect of fitness and then try to get others to think that their "thing" is best.

Our job as fitness professionals (almost hard to put those two words together), is to educate and inform the public about adapting a healthy lifestyle.

It's not healthy to run marathons and not be able to lift your own bodyweight....

It's also not healthy to bench 500 pounds and not be able to run across the street to save your life....

It's about adopting a healthy lifestyle where you can do a little of everything!

You can run a mile and not want to do die, you can do 10 pullups, you can easily bend and touch your toes, you eat a blend of fruits-vegetables-protein that are whole foods, and most importantly you have an attitude of gratitude for God and all He has given you.

That is the message we should be giving to make this world a better, healthier place to live for all!

Thank you and God bless,
Mike DeMora

This post is not meant to call out anyone in particular. It is meant to bring awareness of the bigger problem. The confusion of what is healthy and to help guide others choices to healthier options....

I want to tell you something I don't talk about enough.

There was a point in my life where I was living in the back of a pickup truck in Los Angeles.

I was a professional kickboxer. I came out to LA to be an action movie star. (Don't laugh)

A trainer — someone I trusted — injured my hip doing some kind of stupid stretching technique.

I lost the small part I got. I couldn't fight anymore. I lost my apartment. I lost my identity.

I thought I lost everything.

My hip kept popping out of the socket. I could have gone home to Cleveland. But I was too ashamed. I didn't want anyone to know I failed like that. So I stayed.....

In the back of a pickup truck I borrowed from a friend.

And one night, I had a thought that changed everything:

"I can be a better trainer than the guy who did this to me."

That thought became NCEP.

If you're in a moment right now where everything feels like it fell apart — stay in the truck.

Your idea is in there with you. God bless you....

👇 DM me the word TRAINER and I'll show you how to get certified for ~$200.

Thank you for your help Caleb....

How is your Spiritual Health? 🙏

You track your body fat. You check your blood work. You know how much you bench.

But when's the last time you scheduled time with God?

We only make time to talk to God when things go wrong. But God is not a wishing well. A real relationship requires showing up — every day.

NCEP is leading a movement to restore the soul of the trainer.

Physical Health. Mental Health. Spiritual Health.

DM us the word SOUL and we'll send you more.
