Our segments for this month of October will be Quick Twisties. The segment starts at by the Lifetime parking lot, but you head left into the woods instead of right towards the Lifetime jumps. Jake Bentley and I were able to put in times to start it off putting down a 1:04 for the analog segment.

*Delayed post* Our 3rd Annual Jump Jam did not go as planned due to rain, and we had to unfortunately make the call to cut it short. To those of you who still came out and had some fun with us, we appreciate you! Despite the weather being a downer, it was clear that everyone was keeping the stoke high, and that’s exactly what this jam is all about to us. To those of you who were planning on coming out but didn’t make it, we’re not deterred! There will be more events, and we’d love to see you out there. Stay tuned in to AL’s Bike Shop and we’ll keep coming up with ways for everyone to have fun on a bike!

It is that time of year again!
Every autumn AL’s Bike Shop loves putting on our annual fundraiser to support M.O.R.E. It is a chance to gather the community together and celebrate the hard work that goes into our trails. Whether it is volunteer shovel slapping or people who dedicate their full-time employment to making our trails a reality, now is the time to party as a thank you. We will be accepting donations, but the best way to show gratitude is just to come and bring your stoke.

As seen in the poster, the Jam officially starts at 3:00pm, but we will be setting up far before, so feel free to swing by early and say hello. We will start with an open riding session for an hour. This is a chill time to feel out the lips, say hello to some friends and check out the M.O.R.E. tent. Then, this year we will have a dedicated time to cheer on the younger shredders and give them the stage for a bit.
Finally, we will come together for some contests.

We have seriously upgraded the prizes this year, including hats, stickers, shirts, bottles, and our grand prize, a Specialized P3 dirt jumper frame!

The AL's Bike Shop Jump Jam at the Lake Fairfax Dirt Jumps is back for 2026!

This will be our third year hosting this event, and once again, we wanted to extend an invitation to you and all your friends! This event has grown each year from throwing whips and listening to music to a celebration of mountain biking in the DMV area!
Thus, we want to invite you, your riding buddies, and your non-riding buddies to come, have a good time, and watch some riders throw down!

There will be all sorts of prizes and giveaways as per usual.
And, we have teamed up with Specialized this year to offer up a special prize of a Specialized P-series dirt jumper frame!

As always, this event is a fundraiser for the Lake Fairfax jumps, so if you are feeling generous, we greatly appreciate any sized donations to the cause.

We are placing a special emphasis on the kiddos this year, so make sure to pass along the invite to any younger rippers you know.

This year's schedule will be as follows:

3:00 Open Ride

4:30 Bunny Hop Contest

5:00 Kids Jam

5:30 High Jump Contest

6:00 Whip Off Contest

6:30 Best Trick Contest

7:00 AWARD CEREMONY

We hope to see you there 🙂
