AUGUST STRAVA WINNERS AND SEMPTEMBER SEGMENTS!

Hi all!
The segment this month was the fast, berm filled MORE DH!
Only non-AL’s affiliated riders can win, sorry Ian (one of our ambassadors)

Starting with the Female category we have a new winner and friend of the shop, Jen Everhard with a blazing fast 0:36.

For Mens, we have local legend, Elliot Banks with a 0:33.

And for our fastest eBike time, keeping in mind it was a longer segment, we have a three time hall of famer, Song Hong taking the win with a 0:56.

Congratulations to all the competitors and do enjoy your reward of $50 of in store credit.

The AL's Bike Shop Jump Jam at the Lake Fairfax Dirt Jumps is back for 2026!

This will be our third year hosting this event, and once again, we wanted to extend an invitation to you and all your friends! This event has grown each year from throwing whips and listening to music to a celebration of mountain biking in the DMV area!
Thus, we want to invite you, your riding buddies, and your non-riding buddies to come, have a good time, and watch some riders throw down!

There will be all sorts of prizes and giveaways as per usual.
And, we have teamed up with Specialized this year to offer up a special prize of a Specialized P-series dirt jumper frame!

As always, this event is a fundraiser for the Lake Fairfax jumps, so if you are feeling generous, we greatly appreciate any sized donations to the cause.

We are placing a special emphasis on the kiddos this year, so make sure to pass along the invite to any younger rippers you know.

JULY STRAVA WINNERS AND AUGUST SEGMENTS!

Hi all! Apologies for the delay!
The segment this week was Marc Genberg Memorial Trail.
We had to do some additional digging to make sure we had the right winner but we are now confident we have the right people.

Starting with the Female category we have now three time Champion Maddie West with a 01:13.
For Mens, we have a new winner, Connor Branham with a 01:02.

And for our fastest eBike we have a two time winner Song Hong brining it home with a 01:22.

Howdy all!

Today marks a new month and that means we have a new segment to announce and winners for the AL’s Bike Shop Monthly Strava Challenge!

First, this month’s winners.

The segment was the Luge for June and we had some great participation!

For the women’s category, Maddie West stepped in once again and took the win by 11 seconds with a final time of 2:41!
Well done Maddie.

For the men’s category, we have a new winner Thomas Burke with a blazing fast winning time of 2:11!
Amazing job.

For the ebike category. We had some of AL’s very own set the fastest times. Graham Haynie an AL’s PALS ambassador set the fastest time with a 2:07. Jake Shortt our service manager came second at 2:12. Therefore we are awarding the win to Song Hong with a 2:23!
Kudos to all!

The winner of each category will receive $50 shop credit added to your AL’s Bike Shop account to be used on anything in store or special ordered!

For the month of July the segment is going to be Mark Genberg!

Lake Fairfax Strava-Duro Challenge Winners and New Trails!

We want to give a huge congratulations to our first months winners! You will each be awarded $50 AL’s Bike Shop Credit!

May Winners:

Tony Watkins dropped the hammer in the Men’s category putting down a quick 1:43 run.

Maddie West was able to secure the women’s victory with a solid 3 second lead.

After a fierce competition on SuperFlow, we are moving over to everyone’s favorite trail: The Luge! Throughout the month of June we will have the challenge open for riders to set their best time on the trail. Al’s Bike Shop will be giving prizes for the fastest times and most efforts in multiple categories!
