Last weekend was the AUSKF Nationals championship tournament. Washinkan had 7members as part of the federation team. It was Washinkan’s first Nationals as part of ECUSKF. Everyone did a fantastic job. Their commitment for over a year of training showed throughout the tournament.

Once again we had the opportunity to participate in the annual Baltimore Annapolis tournament. We had an amazing time with a great group, and several of our members took home medals! It was great to see everyone’s hard work and dedication pay off!

Excited! See you all there

It was an honor to be invited to Japan-Virginia Night at the Residence of the Ambassador of Japan last night. The event celebrated a robust relationship between Japan and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The night offered an exciting opportunity to strengthen and expand the partnership between the two communities.

We had Crymble sensei and Osawa sensei representing Washinkan at the event. Thank you to the Ambassador of Japan and the embassy for hosting an incredible night.

We had a special practice today focusing on more advanced techniques and to prepare our members for the many forthcoming tournaments! Mocombe sensei President came from Pittsburgh to join us.

Happy New Year from Washinkan!

We had a great turn out this Sunday at Herndon Community Center and Friday at Dulles South Recreation Center. Great to see old and new faces!

We are currently accepting new beginners at all of our locations! Please reach out to us or the respective community / recreation centers for information and registration.
