July 25 - 28, 2014 - USJN/NIKE DC National Championship
Bitter-Sweet - The Diamonds ended the 2014 season with a 5-0 first place finish in pool play: (Overall Record 5-1)
We had three players who suffered injuries by game four but the team still fought hard; yet falling short in the first round of play-offs vs the NC Lady Royals 50 Diamonds 44.
Congratulations to our selected Pool All Stars:
Aisha Sheppard #21 and Indeya Sanders #24
Special thanks to our Asst Coach Sierra & Jasmine Thomas for arranging Coral ( #20) to meet Shoni Schimmel after the Mystics vs the Atlanta Dream game at the Verizon Center.
We have an awesome group of coaches, players, parents, and fans. As the girls continue their love of basketball with their respective high schools, we will continue to support one another!

July 10 -12, 2014 - Nike Invitational in Chicago, IL
The Diamonds traveled to Chicago to undertake great competition from all over the USA. With over 450 teams and nearly 540 colleges & universities in attendance, Diamonds embraced a real basketball experience. Playing up in the 15U Division, we played teams from Cali, Illinois, Wisconsin, New York, and Texas.
We finished 3-2 with a 51-52 loss against a very talented Cali Swiss National team and a loss against NY iExcel team who was probably the best team we've faced since we began. We trailed by 3 @ halftime, and we weren't able to take the lead. What we learned from this experience is "we can compete with anyone". Great Job in Chicago Diamonds!
