Today is the day. Our doors open at 10:30 for the DBK Strength grand opening in Hershey, and we would love to see your face here. Come for the ribbon cutting, stay for the food, the music, and the giveaways, and if you have ever been curious about barbell training, this is your chance to participate in a free deadlift workshop where we break down the myths and show you how to move with confidence.

This studio was built for women who want to feel strong at every stage of life, whether that means getting back into a routine, working through changes your body is going through, or just finding a space that finally feels like it was made for you.

Tag a friend and come check it out with us today. We are just getting started.

I received this text about an hour ago from a woman who was intimidated to go into the free weights section, use the weights, and might get in someone’s way a years ago.

In the last year, she stepped into the discomfort of the free weight section. She’s learned how to power lift. She’s learned she is incredibly strong. She’s learned she belongs in the free weight section, using the barbell, and not having to apologize to be there.

Over the last couple weeks, she’s traveled around the country. She gotten day passes at gyms, used the equipment and felt empowered. She’s done kettlebell workouts and taken runs when she didn’t have access to a gym. She’s living her best life on vacation and reveling in the strength and confidence she’s developed.

Who here has been told, by somebody, at some point, that deadlifts are bad for your back?

If your hand just went up, you are not alone. That is the first question asked in our Debunking the Deadlift workshop, and every time, most of the room raises a hand.

Here is the truth. A deadlift is not the enemy. A rounded back moving under a heavy load with no coaching is a different story, and that is exactly what we spend an hour fixing. We start with a dowel, move to a wall, add a kettlebell, and finish with a barbell, and by the end almost everyone in the room has done the actual lift, safely, for the first time.

If that show of hands would have included yours, this workshop was built for you. It is free, it is part of our grand opening, and it gives you a real reason to participate instead of just watching from the sidelines.

September 12. Only 12 spots. Link to save yours is in our bio.

This is the setup before our first Debunking the Deadlift workshop. Barbells loaded, room quiet, everyone about to walk in not knowing what the next hour would actually give them.

One of my clients has been scared of getting hurt again ever since a serious back injury a few years ago. She's cautious, and honestly, who wouldn't be. She showed up anyway, even though I could tell she was nervous walking in.

She worked through the movements, took every cue I gave her, and actually listened to her body instead of overthinking it. Somewhere in that hour something clicked. She felt her hamstrings and glutes doing the work, and her back stayed quiet the whole time.

By the end she picked up a kettlebell, then a barbell, and hit multiple reps at a weight she never thought she'd lift. A few days later her hamstrings are sore and her back feels nothing. That's not luck. That's what happens when you learn to move with confidence instead of fear.

Here's the thing though, the weight on the bar isn't really the point. What matters is she walked in scared and walked out proud of herself. That's what I want for every woman who comes through my door, and it's exactly why I built this workshop. It's about learning to participate in your own life again, without the fear holding you back.

We're opening Debunking the Deadlift to the public at our Grand Opening on September 12th. Come learn the hinge, ask questions, and see what your body can actually do.
