Blueberry Won Cabin AVAILABLITY.

Highbridge Gold - Hole #3

Not sure how a disc golf hole could be any more perfect than hole 3 on Gold. Measuring in at just over 800’, it is an extremely fair par 5 that will still test your skill and precision. Regardless of how big of an arm you have, the width of the fairway and shape of the hole allow you to blast your biggest drive possible off the tee and hit a landing zone that sets you up nicely for your next shot. The tee shot gives you ample space to work your disc through the initial lane, moving from left to right and opening up into the widest part of the fairway. The second half of the fairway goes up and over a slight hump in the terrain with a stand of trees in the middle that provides two route options to the green, depending on where your approach lie is. The basket sits on a little bump at the bottom of a fairly open route to the green, with just a couple guardian trees to avoid along the way.

It’s Saturday afternoon at Highbridge… 78 degrees… sunny, with a perfect smattering of fluffy Cumulus clouds slowly moving across the sky. As you approach the tee after a drop-in birdie on hole 2, you look up and see a freshly groomed Gold 3. A slight, breezy head wind makes the leaves shimmer, creating a serene rustle that puts you into a state of pure relaxation and bliss. You could just stand there forever and soak it in through all your senses… but after a brief moment taking it in, it’s time to step up and keep your birdie streak alive...

Starting this weekend, we’ll have new stock on hoodies, zip hoodies, crewnecks, sun hoodies, long and short sleeve t-shirts, and tank tops. Woodland Greens - Hole #17

Arguably one of the more controversial holes at Highbridge Hills.. it seems players either love it, hate it, or switch back and forth depending on their round. Which is why it's such a great hole!

Hole 17 is one of only three par 4’s on Woodland Greens and comes right at the end of your round as a potential separator hole in competition. Measuring in at only 271’, it’s par 4 designation comes from the shape of the hole following an “S” curve and rising in elevation, and would require a tee shot thrown to absolute perfection in order to navigate its way to the circle.

The first ⅔ of the hole favors a sweeping uphill anhyzer that bends early and either keeps the line and scoots flat or fades back at the precise moment to work toward the basket. A hyzer shot works too, but usually results in coming up a bit short of the corner (marked by a rock cairn nowadays) leaving a slightly more difficult second shot. Don't count out a roller on this hole though either! A tee shot not turning early enough, cut rolling, or fading out too soon can leave you scrambling to save par.

Then there is the green. Guarded by a sprinkling of trees requiring you to pick your best path at the end of the fairway, the basket rests elevated between three girthy oak trunks. Luckily, if you hit the landing zone just right off the tee, one of the openings frames the basket perfectly, tempting you to run it for eagle rather than laying up to the base for an easier birdie attempt. Regardless of how close you get your upshot to the pin, you always run the risk of sitting in a spot that requires a wide step out or pinball attempt off the trunks. Throw in the elevation challenge, and pretty much every putt will test your nerves. Just pulling your disc from the basket and walking away from this hole without damaging your score, always results in a big wave of relief.

Granite Ridge Hole #11 (originally #13)

Course management requires constant maintenance to preserve the original nature of a hole or to adapt to changes as the landscape and game evolve. Granite Ridge 11 is the perfect example how a hole can evolve over time. Hard to even recognize it from this photo from 2004!

The hole was originally designed as a single basket, fun, wide open down hill hole offering infinite routes / shot shapes to get to the basket. It was one that you could unload your bag on and work each disc differently to try to get to the pin. The original plan was to add a pond just short of the hole, to make it more difficult and force you to consider your shot a little more carefully.

Over time, the stand of trees you know today, grew in thick between the tee and the pin, drastically changing the way the hole is played. The only route option currently is to go wide left, which can make for a fun decision to throw a big spike hyzer or bomb a wide sweeping down hill anhyzer shot. A long pin has also been added to the hill side since the original design. There is no short tee currently, but it is in the master plan to finalize a Granite layout with 2 pins and 2 tees on every hole.

Admittedly... this hole has grown in too much, and the shot is being forced too far left and with no good view of the basket from the tee. The hole is at the top of the list for some major maintenance yet this year. The plan is to open up a moderate tunnel shot strait to the basket and also clean up the left side of that stand of trees for a more reasonable outside route from the tee.

Blueberry Hill - Hole #12

This 245' par 3 is 1 of only 2 par 3's in a stretch of 9 holes in the middle of Blueberry. It offers 2 very different shot options to the pin for an ace run / birdie opportunity.

The left side forces you out wide but allows infinite space for your spike hyzer or floating anhyzer shot to soar. It takes precision on your amount of power to not allow your anhyzer to flex back out or to burn past the basket, leaving you a long putt for bird. If going hyzer, you need to keep it precise so as not to bomb it deep, but be sure you don't saw it off early or you'll be challenged getting out of the jail of trees.

The second option is a direct route to the basket through a tight window in the stand of trees on the right side with a little hump forcing a bit of air under your shot. Tempting as it may be, this option is high risk / reward.. especially when the swamp is swampy.

You're in a neck to neck battle coming into this hole and you've got the box... Whatcha Throwin'??
