When the 6 year old says she’s going c**n hunting. Even though it’s a school night. We go!! Emerie knocked out 2 in a quick hour and a half hunt. Smokie and Blue Slate were on point tonight.

Those lanyards came in handy. Look at those faces. I was dealing with the dog and got caught off gaurd. lol. Hearing those kids say the dogs names and talk about them was the highlight of the hunt for me. Without the hounds it wouldnt happen. And we have some very special hounds!!! Luna, Saber and Rosie!! Straight meat dogs!!!!

Ole long tail plott hound threw down on the squirrels this afternoon. 30 minutes. 7 trees. Right at dark. Seen 5 squirrels got 3. Thought I recorded a tree but clearly didn’t mash the button.

25 for the day. Made a lot of den trees and had plenty get away. Not bad for the second outing of the year.

Everyone let us at Meat Dog Kennels know if you want to get rid of some corn eaters. Racc**ns and squirrels!!! We have dead broke dogs they will not bother a deer. But they will hammer the pest that have feasted on your corn piles all season. We will be treeing meat Tomorrow night!! They the end of February.
