✨ RECITAL WEEKEND 2026 ✨
May 15-17 Carolina Theatre, Greensboro
Get ready to celebrate a season full of growth, dedication, memories, and magic as our dancers take the stage for Recital Weekend 2026!
This year’s theme, “Spreading Kindness and Joy Like Pixie Dust,” is a reminder that dance is about so much more than steps. It is about confidence, friendship, encouragement, and sharing joy with everyone around us.
From first-time performers to graduating seniors, every dancer has worked so hard for this moment, and we cannot wait to celebrate all they have accomplished this season. The costumes, the music, the smiles, the happy tears… recital weekend is finally here!
Join us May 15–17 at the Carolina Theatre as we cheer on every dancer and celebrate the magic they bring to the stage.
Let’s fill the theater with kindness, joy, and lots of applause! 👏
See you there!

It's recital weekend! We will celebrate our amazing dancers all weekend.
Parents and caregivers, this one is for you...
The First Recital
This is a big moment! The first recital is not about perfection. It is about courage! Some will wave, some will be shy at first, some will dance to their own beat, CELEBRATE IT ALL!
The Dancer Who Falls in Love With the Stage
Somewhere along the way, dance becomes more than just a class. The nerves turn into excitement, the music never stops playing at home, the stage becomes a place where confidence starts to grow. These are the years filled with friendships, hard work, memories, and discovering who they are becoming.
So take the pictures, cheer loudly, and soak it all in.
One day you will realize it was never just about dance.
The Last Recital
And just like that, the final recital arrives. What once started with tiny dance shoes and nervous smiles became years of memories, growth, friendships, and unforgettable moments under the stage lights.
For dancers: take in every second. You earned this moment!
For parents: clap through the tears and be proud of the person your child has become along the way.
The final bow is never really the end. The confidence, discipline, and memories will last forever!
We know recital weekends are full of emotions, we are so thankful you've let us be a part of these incredible memories!
Thank you,
The On Stage Staff

💙2026 Senior Spotlight: Ana Lira💙
"Being part of On Stage during such an important season of my senior year has meant more to me than words can express. It has helped me grow not only as a dancer, but also as a person. Through On Stage, I’ve met incredible dancers and formed friendships that will last a lifetime. I’m so thankful to have been part of the dance team and for every opportunity and memory it gave me.
The teachers at On Stage have made such a meaningful impact on my life. They constantly encouraged me to strive for my best while always supporting and believing in me, which helped me build so much confidence along the way. Because of On Stage, I found a true love for dance and a place that felt like home. I will always be grateful for the experiences, personal growth, and amazing people who made my dance journey so special.
This fall, I will be attending University of North Carolina at Charlotte to major in exercise science!”
🎉Please help us congratulate Ana!🎉

Outside of dance, I enjoy musical theater and spending time with family. After graduation I look forward to continuing dance and theater."

💙2026 Senior Spotlight: Maia James💙
"Hi, I'm Maia James. I've been dancing for thirteen years, it's been an interesting thirteen years to say the least, full of ups and downs, but I've enjoyed it.
Dance has helped me grow as a person; despite my social anxiety being a constant obstacle, it has pushed me to step outside my comfort zone, realize my strength, and pushed me to achieve things that I never thought I could, helping my confidence grow.
The shared chaotic moments full of laughter, friends I've made who have supported me all this time, and the kind, supportive people I've met are all things that will stick with me.
I'm taking a gap year, afterwards, I plan to continue with ballet in college. With the experience and memories I have of OSSOD, I'm going into the future with a bright smile."
🎉Please help us congratulate Maia!🎉

💙2026 Senior Spotlight: Emme Gaskins💙
"I've been dancing for about 15 years, and l've been at On Stage School of Dance for 4 years. My favorite memory at the studio is definitely the dance lock-ins/sleepovers and just getting to spend time with everyone. After graduation, I plan to go to GTCC to get my Associate in Science, then transfer to the University of Nebraska to earn my Bachelor of Science in Nursing."
🎉Please help us congratulate Emme!🎉
