They say you know you’ve made an impact as a coach when your athletes remember you long after they leave the circle. Last week, one of my pitchers, Bri. and her mom, Angie, drove all the way from Columbia just to surprise me and wish me a happy birthday. It truly meant the world to me! These relationships are the greatest gift coaching has given me. ❤️🥎

✨ NEW PERSONAL BEST: 64 MPH! ✨

Last night, Ella hit 64 mph—not just once or twice, but multiple times!

Before Ella and her mom left, we talked about how, just two years ago, Ella was struggling with her speed. Her mom worried that maybe Ella just wasn’t really into pitching.

Fast-forward to yesterday: Ella is now a freshman throwing 64 mph, and we were all crying tears of joy! Watching her hard work, growth, and confidence come together in that moment was incredibly special.

Ella, you have no ceiling. Keep working, keep believing, and keep showing everyone what you are capable of! This is only the beginning! ❤️🥎🔥

Fireball! 💪🥎

Today, I had the opportunity to work with Kynnedi, a senior at South Florence High School who has truly taught herself how to pitch. She consistently throws her fastball at 63 mph—and let me tell you, this kid wants to be great!

During our lesson, we made adjustments to her changeup to help her feel more confident throwing it. We sharpened her curveball by focusing on the spin and how to create it, adjusted the way she thinks about and approaches each pitch, and began developing an off-speed curve.

I was incredibly impressed by Kynnedi’s body awareness and her ability to understand, feel, and immediately make adjustments. I cannot wait to see her again after she has time to work independently on a few things. With her talent, determination, and desire to improve, her future is bright!

🔥 7 MPH GAIN IN ONE LESSON!🔥

Raelee put in some serious work during her three-hour intensive lesson at TPC!

We broke down every part of her motion and focused on:

🥎 Building an effective warm-up routine
🥎 Improving posture and pre-motion
🥎 Using the ground to create and transfer energy
🥎 Creating separation
🥎 Understanding what it means to get stacked—and stay stacked
🥎 Learning how the hips work
🥎 Using a strong hinge
🥎 Driving the knee up

Raelee started the lesson throwing 36 mph and finished consistently hitting 43 mph!

That 7 mph increase came from learning how to use her body more efficiently, making purposeful adjustments, and trusting the process. This is only the beginning for Raelee, and I cannot wait to watch her continue building consistency, confidence, and power!
