Our mission is to provide and protect our parks, recreation and cultural opportunities for the enjoyment and education of present and future generations.

The City of Highland Parks & Recreation Department has eight parks: Silver Lake Park, Glik Park, Rinderer Park, Hoffman Park, Spindler Park, Tot-Lot, Merwin Park, City Plaza and manages the Weinheimer Community Center, Korte Recreation Center, Highland Community Pool, Senior Center, and the City Cemetery. (REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR THE GRADE THEY WILL BE IN DURING THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

This Pre-K/Kindergarten Co-ed League is designed to develop basic fundamentals of soccer. 1st/2nd grade games will be played in a co-ed league in Highland, while 3rd-8th grade will play in the SWISL (Southwest Illinois Soccer League), which travels around to towns in the Clinton County Area.

Location: All games will be played at Glik

Dates: Mid/Late August-October

Game Days: Saturdays (8 weeks)

Fees for Pre-K/Kindergarten: Residents: $35 Non-Residents: $40

Fees for 1st-8th Grade: Residents: $45 Non-Residents: $50

Registration: May 1-June 15

Late Registration: Starting June 15 $5 late fee
Waitlist only starting June 26

Our Young at Heart group enjoyed a wonderful day exploring the beautiful Missouri Botanical Garden! With perfect weather and stunning blooms around every corner, there was no shortage of beauty to take in.

After strolling through the gardens and admiring the colorful flowers and peaceful scenery, we took a relaxing lunch break at the Kemper Center before continuing our adventure.

A day filled with sunshine, friendship, and nature's beauty made for another memorable Young at Heart trip! ๐ŸŒบโ˜€๏ธ๐ŸŒท
