Hello Katana Family,
For those of you who may not know, Anna runs Goat Yoga and has one of her final classes coming up this Sunday.
Normally, Anna hosts these classes throughout the summer, but this year she will be taking some time away to focus on healing. Because of that, this weekend’s class will be an especially important opportunity to show your support. We’d love to see our Katana family come out and rally around Anna during this time
There are still tickets available, and attending is a great way to enjoy a date day, family outing, or even spend some time with your wrestling family. If enough of us attend, we can plan to grab lunch together afterward!
We know summer schedules are busy, but if you’re available, please consider joining us and showing some love and support to Anna and her family during this season.
If you’d like to attend but the cost of a ticket is keeping you from going, please reach out to Noah or me privately. We would be happy to help make sure you can be there.
Thank you, Katana family.

🎉 KATANA IS 2! 🎉
Two years.
It’s hard to believe that what started as a passion for wrestling and a desire to share this sport with kids has grown into what Katana is today.
In Year 1, we had 10 kids competing.
In Year 2, we had 32 kids competing and 4 State Qualifiers.
But if you ask any of our coaches, the numbers aren’t what make us proud.
We’re proud of the kid who was scared to step on the mat and now competes with confidence.
We’re proud of the athlete who keeps showing up after a tough loss.
We’re proud of the friendships built, the lessons learned, and the character being developed every single day.
Wrestling is one of the toughest sports a kid can choose. It teaches accountability, discipline, resilience, respect, and how to keep moving forward when life gets hard. That’s why we love it. That’s why we coach it.
Katana was never built around wins and losses. It was built around kids.
It was built by coaches who volunteer countless hours because they genuinely care. Coaches who stay late, answer calls, travel on weekends, celebrate victories, and help pick kids up after defeats. Every success we’ve had belongs to them just as much as it belongs to our athletes.
To our coaching staff, thank you. Your hearts for these kids are what make Katana special. We are blessed with a group of coaches who care about developing great wrestlers, but even more importantly, great young people.
To our parents and families, thank you for believing in us. Thank you for the rides, the fundraising, the tournament weekends, the support, and for becoming the family that makes this club feel like home.
Two years in, and we’re just getting started.
The future is bright, the mats are full, and our passion for this sport continues to grow.
Happy 2nd Birthday, Katana Wrestling! 💙🖤
If Katana has impacted your family, drop a birthday wish, favorite memory, or shout-out to a coach below. Let’s celebrate together!

HELLO JUNE 🤼
While there may not be tournaments every weekend, this is the perfect time for athletes to improve their skills, build strength, increase confidence, and develop the habits that lead to success when the season starts back up. The wrestlers who make the biggest improvements next year will be the ones putting in the work right now.
We'd love for new and returning athletes to join us this summer as we train. Whether your child is brand new to wrestling or already has experience on the mat, our off-season program is designed to help every athlete improve in a positive, encouraging environment.

Complete the entire bingo card and not only will you earn a few prizes, but Coach Noah will also take the entire group of finishers out to Dairy Queen for a well-earned ice cream celebration!

CLASS SCHEDULE THIS WEEK:
🇺🇸 Monday: 5:30–7
Tuesday: 5:30–7 (Open Mat All Ages)
Wednesday: 5:30–7
Today we pause to remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Memorial Day is about honoring those who gave their lives so we could live freely, safely, and continue doing the things we love every day. Their sacrifice deserves to be remembered not just today, but always.
At the end of class tonight, we’ll be doing a mini Murph workout together. The Murph Challenge was created to honor Navy SEAL Lt. Michael Murphy, who gave his life serving our country in Afghanistan in 2005. The workout represents perseverance, sacrifice, courage, and pushing through challenges with purpose. Our version will be kid-friendly, but the meaning behind it remains the same, taking time to honor and remember those who gave everything for others.
We invite any parents on the mat during this time to jump in and join us for the mini Murph during the last 30 minutes of class!
See you on the mat 🇺🇸

For Kade 💛💚💛
Thank you everyone who hit the mat with us tonight. Thank you to the ones who made time in their schedule and to the parents who made the drive. Tonight was the perfect mix of hard work and fun. Forever grateful for this team, for this community, for wrestling.
