Had a great time and learned a lot with my friend Sam Burns out at Arsenal Martial Arts in Benton. Was the first time I got to use my striking and grappling knowledge with guns and knives at play. Great experience. Thank you my friend.

Meet Coach Derek — Noon Jiu-Jitsu Instructor

Born and raised in Highland, Derek began his jiu-jitsu journey at Fathom in 2019. With a background in both wrestling and Taekwondo, he brings years of martial arts experience and competition experience across multiple disciplines to the mats.

Derek has also coached wrestling at both the middle school and high school levels, giving him a strong foundation as an instructor and mentor.

His coaching philosophy centers on mastering proven fundamentals and developing skills that are simple, repeatable, and effective—whether your goal is self-defense or competition.

Come train with Derek at our noon classes and sharpen the fundamentals that make all the difference.
