As the recovery process continues, we’d like to remind residents to always be mindful that scammers often target communities after disasters. Ask for ID, verify credentials, and never pay in full upfront. Don’t share personal or financial information at the door, and don’t assume a logo or badge is legitimate.

For lists of licensed contractors in town, please refer to our posts linked below.

Looks Great Services, the contractor handling debris pickup in the Town of Highland, is making their second pass through town this week. Residents are encouraged to get remaining vegetation debris to the curb as soon as possible for pickup. Crews will be moving from the south side of town to the north.

Uprooted stumps and tipped root balls on the parkways will also be part of this second pass. Stumps that are still in the ground will be dealt with at a later date, and we will provide more specific details regarding that process as they become available.

Thank you for your continued patience through this cleanup process.

A special thank you to our local Meijer in Highland and our Parks team for helping make this possible. We truly appreciate your support and partnership.

This week, Public Works crews and contractors completed their first full pass through town, picking up major debris.

The second pass will begin after Labor Day and begin on the south side of town heading north. We encourage residents to take the next few days to get remaining vegetation debris to the curb for pickup.

Uprooted stumps and tipped root balls on the parkways will also be part of this second pass. Stumps that are still in the ground will be dealt with at a later date, and we will provide more specific details regarding that process as they become available.

Thank you for your continued patience through this cleanup process, and have a safe Labor Day weekend.
