My goal as a trainer is to help others to be self-sufficient in increasing their functional muscle mass in order to help them produce a long term life-style change. As you all should know by now Elevate is no longer in Chico. I have moved to the Portland Oregon area.

Berkowitz Fitness is now at my old location in Chico. Stephanie is an awesome trainer. She relocated from Paradise after her gym and house burnt in the Campfire. Please give her a call for all your Chico area health and fitness needs.

The facilities and equipment was purchased by Berkowitz Fitness, Stephanie and Jay Berkowitz from Paradise. She is a fantastic trainer if your are looking for one.

I was trying to make it work after the Campfire and father dieing in November but the economy in Chico isn't what it was and doesn't support multiple Bootcamp/CrossFit style gyms.

I am moving to Hillsboro Oregon, back to Electronics where I have 23 year experience. Also my Daughter Crystal and granddaughter Chevelle are there which I miss very much.

So Saturday the 21st im leaving in my Uhaul and driving up.

Thank you for all those that have supported me and I have trained over the last 4 years in Chico. It has been a pleasure.

One last item of advice... your personal health is the most important thing you can invest in... dont wait until you have health issues to realize that.

This shows what a clean diet and consistent workout can do... My body fat dropped to 7.6%.

Unfortunately I lost 2 lbs of muscle which is not my main goal. This is a great example of what we do not want to do... lose weight at the expense of losing muscle. This occurred because my diet is too low in calories for my energy output.

Fitness Goals:
1) water, water, water
2) Eat every 2.5 to 3.0 hrs
3) Consistent workout every week
4) Do your best to stay on goal!

I turn 58 tomorrow so I did a Body Analysis at Nutrishop on Forest Ave to see where my body fat and metabolic rate is at:

At 184.3 lbs I have a Body fat at 9.7% and a Basal Metabolic Rate of 2000 calories a day. I am in the best shape I have been since Butte College as a wrestler.
