Here's a few words from Melinda:
"As far back as I can remember I have always enjoyed an active lifestyle. I was a marathon runner and heavily into everything fitness. While training for a bodybuilding competition, I experienced a traumatic injury that damaged my spinal cord. Because of my fit lifestyle I overcame my injury, and my results inspired me to become a NASM certified personal trainer. My goal is to help others discover the benefits of training that helped me regain mobility. I also pursued certifications in several Group Exercise formats including, dance fitness, water aerobics and barre. I really enjoy the sense of community and energy generated from teaching group classes. It has become my passion! Aside from fitness, I work fulltime as an insurance claims manager. I have 3 adult daughters and twin granddaughters. I am very excited to be a member of the Active Wellness team.

Active Wellness Center’s new Fall Prevention program is designed to improve strength, balance, fall risk awareness, independence and overall health. If you are at risk of falling, or if you’ve experienced a fall in the past, register for this 6-week session to gain the skills and confidence necessary to navigate through life more safely.
