THANK YOU to everyone who came out for the special Mariachi Opera in the Park event last Friday at Shute Park!

Presented in partnership with Opera in the Park Portland, Cruzar La Cara de la Luna featured a full orchestra, chorus, and seven featured soloists. It was a beautiful performance and community gathering!

Get ready to Bike Hillsboro!

Join a new family-friendly event on Saturday, August 8 featuring group rides to local parks, free helmets and tune-ups, bubbles, face painting, and more!

In addition to fun, the event hosted by WashCo Bikes and the City of Hillsboro will help teach and promote bike safety for riders of all ages and skill levels.

Check-in starting at 9:15 am at WashCo Bikes (137 NE 3rd Avenue) and be ready to ride by 10 am. No registration is required and all are welcome. This is a free event.

Softball teams from across the United States and Canada played in Hillsboro at the Gordon Faber Recreation Complex last week during the Triple Crown Fastpitch World Series Portland tournament!

We’re proud to provide one of the region’s best tournament venues, welcoming hundreds of athletes, families, and fans to Hillsboro. Congratulations to all the teams and thank you for visiting our community!

And a big shout out to our Parks Maintenance crews who kept the fields in great shape throughout the tournament!

A new children’s book brings the magic of Hidden Creek Park West’s beloved play structure to life through a heartfelt story about friendship, inclusion, bravery, and the joy of exploring the outdoors!

The bilingual book, by local author N.D. Byma, tells the story in English and Spanish so readers can choose the language that works best for them — or enjoy reading in both languages!

The book is available for $10 at these facilities:

Presented in partnership with Opera in the Park Portland, Cruzar La Cara de La Luna tells a poignant and timely story of migration, cultural identity, and generational divides within the Mexican-American community.
