Visit Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve this month to explore a special exhibit honoring six LGBTQIA+ environmental leaders whose work is helping protect wildlife, natural resources, and our planet.

Learn about inspiring leaders including ecologists, scientists, conservation advocates, and climate activists. The exhibit also highlights Oregon environmental leader Michael Calhoun of Vernonia! (pictured).

Whether you're visiting the trails, birdwatching, or enjoying a day in nature, take a few moments to discover the stories of these leaders and the difference they're making for future generations.

The exhibit is open inside the Nature Center Monday through Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm.

Help Griffin Oaks Park get a new playground! Share your support through likes, comments, and shares on this post for the City’s grant request to the Oregon Parks & Recreation Department for a new playground with covered shade canopies.

The current playground was built in 1997 and is nearing the need for replacement. If the grant is awarded to Hillsboro, more information and engagement opportunities will be shared before the new structure is built.
