Knife sharpening and custom knife making. All knives are hand sharpened and honed to a razors edge, no power equipment used.

As and avid hunter, fisher, and home cook I have a need for sharp knives. That need lead me to learning how to maintain and sharpen knives to their highest potential. When sharpening knives I look into many factors, what is the blade steel made of, what is the general use of this knife going to be, and what is the hardness of the blade steel measured in RC (rockwell hardness). I sharpen your knife

Raffle update!
I promise I have not forgotten about the fund raiser raffle.
Sadly while putting the final touches on the original handle I found a crack and had to remove the handle. The only way I was able to get it off was with a hammer. :(
The new handle is partially completed and features rosewood burl, with g10, and a piece of African blackwood Burl. I apologize for the delay and I hope to have everything wrapped up here in the next couple of days.
This gives people more time to get a ticket.
$5/ ticket and 100% of the money raised goes directly to my cousin.
Thank you to all that have supported so far, the generosity had been amazing and I will give a final tally once a winner had been chosen.
Thank you,
David

RAFFLE!! FUND RAISER!!
$5/ticket

My cousin Tony is currently in chemo battling a rare form of fast acting cancer. In my effort to help him raise some money I am going to raffle off this knife with 100% of the funds going to his GoFundMe campaign.
Here is the link to his GoFundMe if you want more information on Tony and his situation. https://www.gofundme.com/f/tony-garboden-cancer-fund?utm_source=customer&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_campaign=p_cp+share-sheet

The knife is a high carbon 26c3 steel, also known as spicy white, very similar to japanese white paper steel.
It features a dimpled texture finish and is ground very thin for a knife that will slide through food incredibly easily.
Handle is stabilized maple burlap that has been hand contoured and is very comfortable in the hand. This is designed as a pairing/kitchen utility knife but will be great for really anything you want to do to do with it.
The knife will come with a black or teal kydex sheath for storage and protection and will be razor sharp.

Tickets are $5/each and I am going to sell as many tickets as I can for the next 7-ish days. I will come up with a neat way to do the drawing and ship the knife to the winner.

Message me to buy a ticket!

Please like and share on your page! Let's get him as much help as possible!!"
Thank You,
David.

Here's a utility/steak knife I'm working on. I played with some cool new texturing techniques on a couple of these as well.

Made some huge progress today on this kitchen knife. Thanks to the I got some great tips on handle making. Some wax on th tang allowed me to index everything properly and pull the knife back out so I can finish the handle then reattach everything later.
I also discovered that my clamps weren't long enough so I had to improvise at the last second.
Handle is Purple Heart, black canvas micarta, stainless steel, micarta, then Japanese elm burl.

It was my Senior year of high school, woke up and remember my Dad telling that we have been attacked and we will be going to war.
Where were you?

Look at that belt finish. It's amazing the difference a new grinder and some belts will do. This is a 60g belt finish, trying to flatten this knife out, man I love this set up.

She's alive!
This grinder is amazingly well built, it was very easy to put together. It's time for me to get some shut eye, but I will for sure be putting it through it's paces tomorrow. 🤘
