When David Peterson joined our Semi-Private Coaching Program back in January, his goal was pretty simple: get in better shape and look good for an upcoming beach vacation.

But as often happens when you start building strength, confidence, and consistency, the goals got bigger.

What started as a fitness journey turned into training for his very first triathlon. Month after month, David showed up, put in the work, and trusted the process. The result? Not only did he complete his first triathlon, but he finished 3rd in his age group!

This is why we love what we do. Sometimes people come in with one goal, but once they realize what they’re capable of, they start accomplishing things they never thought possible.

Congratulations, David! We’re proud of everything you’ve achieved so far and can’t wait to see what’s next.

The beach body was just the beginning.

Here we coach and WP Gym owner demonstrating a Rear Delt exercise at the Rear Delt machine!!

Make sure your hips are slightly back to allow your chest to be against the pad. When you sit, push the arms forward to open up your back, you shouldn’t be shrugging.

Your shoulder, elbow, and hand need to be in one line. If you drop your elbow it puts the focus on your lats instead. When you move your arms back you don’t need to push your arms too far back, notice where Mouss stops it and then brings it forward.

Keep it slow and controlled throughout the exercise.

As coaches, there’s nothing more rewarding than working with someone who embraces the challenge, trusts the process, and shows up ready to push beyond their limits. That’s exactly what type of client .mirandapollock is!

With just over three weeks until her next show, Miranda has been continueing to bring the effort, discipline, and determination needed to keep improving every single day. The work she’s put in has been incredible, and we’re excited to see it all come together when she steps on stage.

Now it’s time to keep our foot on the gas and finish strong. We’re going to keep working hard!

Huge shoutout to WP member Vitir for an incredible accomplishment at the Seattle Stair Climb!

Vitir not only conquered 69 floors, 1,356 steps, and 788 feet of elevation, but he also finished as the top fundraiser for the event.

What’s even more impressive is that he balanced training for this challenge while working full-time as a Nike executive and serving his community as a volunteer firefighter. Throughout the winter, he put in the work with Coach Joel to prepare for this event, and that dedication paid off in a big way.

This is what commitment looks like, setting a goal, putting in the work, and showing up consistently even when life is busy. Congratulations on an amazing achievement!

We wanted to give a massive shoutout to on winning her Pro Card as figure!!!!

While she lives in Las Vegas she visits us frequently and goes to our gym every time she is here. She is a true inspiration in her dedication, her work ethic, determination to her goals both in the gym and out. Even when she travels she is always following her plan and doing the work. Not only does she have an amazing work ethic she doesn’t let it affect her attitude and is always a pure delight to be around.

The pullover might not be the “flashiest” exercise in the gym anymore… but there’s a reason why it is still one of the best exercises out there.

This movement gives you an unreal stretch, helps expand the rib cage, builds depth through the lats, and brings the chest into the movement when you pull the weight forward. One exercise hitting multiple areas the right way? That’s efficiency.

Now these two have been around the gym long enough to see trends come and go 😂 and one thing they keep noticing is that some of these classic, highly effective movements are getting left behind by the newer generation.

Not because they don’t work… but because they are difficult and take practice.

A lot of people get intimidated trying new exercises or feel awkward asking for help. But truthfully, everyone starts somewhere, and learning movements like this can completely change your physique. Bigger chest, fuller lats, better upper body shape overall.

Don’t let good exercises disappear just because they aren’t trending on TikTok this week. 🤝
