If you face adversity it means you are winning. If you learn from a “Loss” then it is not a loss but a learning experience.
In todays day and age it is easy to fall into conformity and to give up on dreams because it is too hard or because external/internal voices are saying “don’t do it””you’re not good enough.”
Confidence breeds success and success breeds confidence.
Officer Ernesto, raised in Washington county shared with us his journey to become a community leader. The difficult internal challenges he had in believing in himself and the importance of mentors, community involvement and extracurricular activities. Officer Ernesto mentioned that as an employer and a leader he looks for youth that step up and go above and beyond in their occupations and hobbies.
Stepping into the ring is a hard and intensive experience that is only possible by having a vision, showing up day in and day out and respecting your peers, coaches and yourself. Challenging yourself to learn, compete, volunteer and to give back makes you not only an outstanding boxer, a model community member but also an attractive candidate to those jobs, internships and scholarships we want to receive for our development and establishment of profession.
