As we roll into the Dizzy Dean State Tournament weekend , HYAA wants to take a moment to shoutout each of our outstanding Allstar teams from the 2026 season!

Our 10u Hixson Vibe softball girls have gone ALL SEASON UNDEFEATED! They’ve brought home the championship every single weekend and we couldn’t be more proud of how hard these girls have worked this season!

Our 6u Hixson Wildcats are a constant reminder of just how early a love for the game begins! These boys and girls have grown so much during the All star season and we can’t wait to see those skills applied this fall!

Our 8u Hixson Wildcats have fought hard and brought home rings not once but TWICE this season! This team has become a FAMILY . 🖤💛 They are so fun to watch play and play best with a belly full of hotdogs!

Our 8u Hixson Hurricanes team demonstrates what it means to truly be passionate about baseball! These boys were not ready for the spring season to end and they’ve taught us that with a little hard work and determination anything is possible! They’ve developed life long baseball skills and grown so much as a team this Allstar season.

Our 10u HYAA Wildcats show up each and every weekend with a smile on their face ready to play their hearts out. Some of these boys have played rec ball at HYAA since they were 6 & 7 years old and it’s always an honor to get to watch these boys learn and grow through baseball each year . Our pitchers have honed in their pitching skills, our batters are dialing in their swings and our fielding shows just how much of a brotherhood this team has become as our boys communicate amongst each other with just a simple glance! Way to go wildcats!

And last but certainly not least, our 10U Hixson Cubs! This team has brought home the bling every single weekend. If you want to see a good baseball game , go watch the cubs! No matter who they play they demonstrate both skill and sportsmanship as they fight hard to make our park proud . We have no doubt these boys will continue to make HYAA proud for years to come through their athletics , faith, and love for the community.

It’s More Than A Game yall! We’ve watched these boys and girls learn how to handle big emotions, how to show empathy and kindness to others, how to cheer for others and work as a team , and even how to step in and lend a hand when needed even if it means shoveling dirt, picking up trash or carrying other parks’ equipment in and out from the parking lot. These kids truly make HYAA PROUD!

We hope all of our Hixson teams have fun at State, cherish these moments forever, and know that they truly are incredible athletes! GO WILDCATS . 🖤💛🐾

Being picked to host part of the Tennessee Dizzy Dean Allstar season is an honor we don’t take for granted. As a park, Black and Gold is the largest event we host all year and the only way we can make big improvements to our park that our players so desperately deserve . The way we see it, families spend so much time at the ballpark, sometimes more than they do at home, so we want to make it feel as much like home as possible and we’re grateful for every opportunity we get to pour into this facility and these kids!

This Allstar season has shown HYAA how our area parks can band together and truly work as one big family and that’s something that no amount of money can buy. That takes park leaders that truly love the sport, the kids and the communities they serve . We are thankful to be a part of such an awesome network of area parks willing to go above and beyond for these kids - and honored to help when we’re called on.

As we come to a close of games being hosted at our park tomorrow we just wanted to thank everyone that’s visited Hixson over the last two weeks . The smiles from parents, the laughter from children and the sound of bats hitting the ball kept all of our volunteers going even when most were running on 2 hours of sleep. As we continue our Allstar season please spread the kindness you showed us within the other parks and remember none of these park representatives are paid for their time . A smile and reminder that they’re doing a good job goes a long way ❤️⚾️ see some of y’all tomorrow!

HIXSON CUBS did it again! Another weekend of wins are in the books for this awesome 10u team. This group of boys has fought hard each and every weekend and laid it all out on the field no matter what they face. From rain, hot temps and long nights their effort never lets up ! Keep going CUBBIES, You’re making Hixson proud!

Our Hixson Vibe Softball girls are making us proud each and every weekend! This 10u team has lead the point standings since day 1 and continues to bring home championship after championship title. As we wrap up Black and Gold today, we wanted to take a minute and reflect on a great weekend of baseball and all those who made it happen AND HONOR OUR CHAMPIONS AND RUNNER UPS!

First and foremost thank you to Camp Jordan-East Ridge Parks and Recreation Department and Harrison Rec for allowing us to use your parks yesterday. We couldn’t have finished this tournament without your help and both were so welcoming and eager to help out .

To our umps, you guys are troopers! Some of you had 11 games on Saturday and you weathered the heat and chaos with a smile on your face and kindness in your heart - it’s obvious when umps have a passion for the game and you guys truly love the sport .

To our Hixson Allstar families - this tournament absolutely could NOT have happened without you. You showed up early and stayed late to make sure these kids got to play baseball. You went above and beyond to my sure my wife was taken care of while I was away on Saturday and you cared for this park as if it was your very own home - that kind of compassion can’t be bought and means more to us that you could ever know. THANK YOU!

And to our champions and finalist- CONGRATS!!!! These championship games were so fun to watch and these kids worked so hard all weekend to bring home the titles ! We will make a post honoring the winners tomorrow after 12u &9u wrap up ! If you guys would please comment your championship photos - and any fun photos- from this weekend below we would greatly appreciate it!!
