Good morning everyone. Just wanted to jump on here and let everyone know that there will not be a full schedule this year due to the Wisconsin Street bridge project that is supposedly going to start the week on 1 April. Depending on how the start of the project goes we may have some opens in the late summer or fall and we will see what 2027 brings to the table.
USA Bassin Indiana Lake George
USA Bassin National Circuit held on Lake George. Spring Tournaments on Saturdays and Sundays
The USA Bassin Indiana Lake George open was held on August 18th. 12 teams showed up to play. Thank you Schmack EM’ Bait and Tackle Shop for sponsoring this tournament and every team that brought some fish to the scales left with a little extra tackle.
In 3rd place was the team of Sergio Olague and his son with a weight of 7 lbs even.
In 2nd place and going solo in this event was was Otabio del Rio with 10.2 lbs.
In 1st place and adding the W to there resume this year is the team of Chris Johnson and Bobby Schurg with 4 fish going 11.4 lbs anchored by a 5lb bucket mouth that landed them big bass as well.
Thank you to all the teams that came to play on this miserable Sunday in August. Until next time, tight lines.
And that’s a wrap on the season for USA Bassin Indiana Lake George. The division is complete as well as the opens and all points and such have been entered and updated on the USA Bassin website. Thank you to each and every team that came out and fished this year. I would like to thank Mike Dennis and Micheal Trigg over at Schmack EM’ Bait and Tackle Shop for being this years sponsor.
It is at this time that under careful consideration and with the expectation that the west side of Wisconsin Street bridge will be closed off for the foreseeable future due to the new bridge that they are putting in, that this division will not run next year. I will keep everyone updated if things change.

Congratulations to those teams who managed to find them and bring them in. After the last week and a half of storms and the shift it the weather it was a grind. Two teams managed to find there limits.
The heavy hitters showed up for the team that took first. Congratulations to Andrew Ellenberger and Dave Shultz with an amazing bag going 15.6 lbs with a big bass of 4.3 lbs for the sweep.

Sergio Olague and Otabio DelRio put together an impressive season and are your 2024 USA Bassin Indiana Lake George Division 58 Champions. My hat is off to ya.
This year, Mark Shindle along with his wife, decided to come out and join us. They didn’t make all the tournaments but to say this, they caught that one that mattered most. A 5.5 lb bucket off a large mouth that won them big bass of the season. Congratulations to you guys.

Man oh man. What a day on Lake George. We had 20 teams show up today and the lake showed out and didn’t disappoint. 20 boats. 12 limits, 4 teams had 4 and that 5th fish evaded them, 1 team with 3 and 1 team with 2. Which means only two teams didn’t come to the scales. I think this is one of the best day’s quantity wise I have seen in recent memory. 9 teams weighed in over 10 lbs and it took 12 to win.
Congratulations to the teams that made it to the pay window.
1st place with 12.3 lbs (5) Olague and Del Rio
2nd place with 11.6 lbs (4) Popovich going solo
3rd place with 11.0 lbs (5) Ellenberger and Schultz
4th place with 10.6 lbs (5) Kochanski and Boyles
First out of money by the tie breaker of big bass 2.8 is the team of Palaggi JR and Kennedy.
Big bass with a stud that went 4.4 was Popovich.
First out of money went home with a couple of packs of baits provided by Schmack’Em Bait and Tackle.
Full results and an updated leader board will be posted soon.
Thank you everyone who came out today.
The next one is on Sunday July 7th.
This Sunday, June 2nd, is the 3rd stop of the division. We have a tight points race taking place. Will there be a clearer picture after this event, only time will tell. I will be at the ramp at 3:30 AM CST to start collecting entry fees and what not.
