Today, on Father's Day, I found myself reflecting beneath the branches of an old oak.
It reminded me that life and death are not opponents—they are partners in the same dance. One brings forth new growth; the other makes space for it.
Perhaps that is why gratitude matters so much.
Not because the people we love stay with us forever, but because they were part of our story... and we were part of theirs.
