Beau’s Landing @ TWENTY300 is building a new kind of rec center for individuals with special needs — a safe, social, and vibrant place to belong.

Beau's Landing is a family-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to create meaningful social opportunities for teens and adults with special needs—bringing people together to make friends, have fun, and simply belong. 💙 Located in Hockley, TX (right on the edge of Cypress!), we’re building a welcoming space with programs, activities, and events designed for dignity, joy, and community. We’re currently renovating our rec center and fundraising for ADA bathrooms, a kitchen, and a future gym. Join our journey: beauslandingtx.org 💛

A little Beau’s Landing update...

We’re excited to have two upcoming Eagle Scout projects from Troop 533 in Cypress!

Kirby will be building picnic tables for the property, and Blake will be building a gaga ball pit — both things we know will get plenty of use once Beau’s Landing is up and running.

We’re so grateful to these young men for choosing Beau’s Landing for their projects and to Troop 533 for supporting what we’re building!

A little Beau’s Landing progress update 💙

We received our preliminary site plan, which feels like a big step forward! Next up is getting the survey and other required pieces completed so we can hopefully get everything submitted to Harris County and get the permitting process moving.

There are still a lot of steps ahead, but it feels good to see things moving forward again. One step at a time!

We’re not officially open yet, but this little trial workout gave us a glimpse of what Beau’s Landing can become. 💙

A place for movement, friendships, laughter, confidence, and simply being together.

It’s been a little quiet here, but Beau’s Landing has not been quiet behind the scenes.

We’ve been working through the not-so-fun stuff — permits, bathrooms, insurance, planning, and figuring out how to move forward the right way — but we’re still making progress.

We’re also starting to think about some fun smaller social gatherings while we keep working toward the bigger goal. Movies, games, dances, hangouts… all the things we’ve been dreaming about from the beginning.

Slow progress is still progress, and we’re excited to keep going. 💙

We've been doing a lot of thinking lately...

One thing we've learned is that creating meaningful friendships doesn't have to wait for a building.

While we're continuing to work toward our long-term vision for Beau's Landing, we're also exploring ways to start bringing teens and adults with special needs together through social activities around our community.

We're curious...

We found a few pictures from our cabi and poker fundraiser after all! 😄 While the guys played poker, the ladies had fun looking through the clothes and trying on some new pieces.

There’s still time to shop through Tuesday, June 23, and all orders will be shipped directly to your home.

Even better, our board member and cabi stylist, Hieu, is generously donating her commission from this show to Beau’s Landing!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, foster dads, and father figures who keep showing up, stepping in, and going the extra mile.

Our first fundraiser at Beau’s Landing was a success, with around 30 people joining us for the evening!

A huge thank-you to our board member Hieu for hosting the cabi portion and donating her commission to Beau’s Landing, and to her husband, Jeff, for doing such a great job running the poker tournament.

We may not have taken many pictures because we were too busy enjoying the night, but we’re so grateful to everyone who came, helped, donated, and supported us!

Families looking for programs for teens and adults with higher support needs may want to check this out.

HeartSong Community is a new place opening up in Tomball.

Their nurse-led program starts June 22, and they’re hosting an open house June 18–20 from 9–11 a.m.
