Come join us for our Summer Figure skating camp! It is for beginners through advanced skaters. It's for ages 6-16yrs and must be Basic level 2/3 or higher. Each week the coaches choreograph a few group numbers(low, intermediate, high), some trios and duets and some solos to perform every Friday at 2:45pm for family and friends to come watch. The numbers and music are different every week. *NEW* "Trial camp day". Skaters can register for the first day of the week to give camp a try and see how much fun it is without the financial committment. Whether you've never skated before, a beginner, an intermediate, a more advanced skater, or an Adult, there's a class for you. We have a very experienced team of coaches. They incorporate fun into teaching the prospective skills needed for each level. The coaches make sure the skaters are having a blast, all while learning their skills. We even offer a beginner/intermediate Speed Skating class if you have the need for speed. The introductory skating levels are Snowplow Sam 1(3-6yrs) or Basic 1(6-16yrs) for the skater that has never skated before or taken an organized class. Once they have completed the first level the levels progress by number. They will get evaluations each session to let parents know what level to sign up for the next session. For the more advanced skaters we offer specialty classes: power/edge, jump/spin, music interp/choreography, and axel/dbl jump classes. This is our tentative camp schedule:
2022 Summer Camp Schedule(tentative)
• 8:30/8:45am check in
• 9:00-10:00am off-ice warm up
*Jumping rope, plyometrics, endurance training, agility skills, jump exercises (air rotations), stretching, ect.
• 10:00-10:15am snack
• 10:30-11:45am on-ice
*Warm up edges, moves in the field, jumps and spins
• 12:00-12:30pm lunch
• 12:45-1:45pm off-ice
*Dance, basic ballet, stretch/flexibility exercises
• 2:00-3:00pm on-ice
*Power drills, new skills/variations of spirals, spins and jumps. Music interpretation/choreography. Skaters learn a routine every week. This will show off some of the new skills they learned throughout the week and super fun for the skaters. They perform on Friday for parents, family and friends to attend. We encourage as many as possible to come and cheer the skaters on!
