Two weekends ago we struggled and had a Decent car but lost two right front tires while battling in the top3-5 . Last night we started from scratch came out the gate third fastest in hot laps. Started fourth in heat one early off got out front and didn’t look back for the heat win. Which started us on the pole for the feature. Hoping for best knowing I had some really fast cars starting beside and behind me. The car is competitive but just doesn’t have the extra we need. Was racing for 2nd and got slammed from behind hard almost losing it had to be quick on the wheel managed to stay in the throttle and ride it out and save it went back to battle for few more laps after losing some momentum. Dropped down to 5th and managed to drive hard back to 4th place finish and loaded the car in one piece. I want to say thank you to all my sponsors and fans.

Not a bad night of racing won the heat race and a 4th place finish with smoked clutch. Last race car felt weird taking off. Didn’t have much time to mess with car due to a hectic few weeks with taking care of the wife who was sick in the hospital . I Went to take off at the green flag on the pole and it just bounced off rev limiter then finally grabbed. through out race the smell of clutch inside the car was horrible . We had a good handling car just didn’t have the extra we needed, But we kept it on the move. On to better notes the car is going under surgery hopefully Sunday night and getting a new race clutch.need to get it ready for autograph night next Friday. Thanks to everyone that supports us and helps every week. Last night moved us back in the top three in points for the season. Gotta keep the consistency hopefully get a top three in our first full year in ministock.

Woods Racing #16 Update

Unfortunately, our race team will not be attending tonight’s races at Mohawk International Raceway.

It’s been a rough week for our family. My wife is still in the hospital, but she’s making progress, and right now our focus is making sure she and our kids are taken care of. We’re not sure when we’ll be back at the track—it may be the next race, or we may have to take a few races off. Family comes first.

We want to sincerely thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers, kind messages, and for checking in on us. Your support means more than you know.

Recap for last nights race. After getting car fixed two weeks ago hot laps car felt great. Started 4th in heat race finished 4th. Which gave us the pole in the feature race. Knew we didn’t have the car to hang in the front very long. Had some tough competition behind me we brought the car home in one piece with a 8th place finish. Have to check the car out some think it’s time to get the new clutch in it for next race. Want to thank all my sponsors that help make it happen.

Recap for last night at Mohawk international raceway. Went out for hot laps 2nd fast in hot laps. Went out for heat race was running ok got hot in drivers front tire and after that car didn’t handle very well at all. Between heat race and feature made some adjustments. Went out for feature car had the speed just wouldn’t handle. Once again in feature got hit in the front drivers wheel again. Some people can’t turn so they use ur car to turn. But we will save that for topic for another time 🫣😉. After that hit car was even worse decide to pull off the track due to car being complete trash. Loaded up came home assessed the car last night discovered the k frame bolts out of the frame on one side. Looks like I got some work to do this week. Want to thank all our sponsors
