WELCOME BACK, DANCERS!

Season 12 officially starts TODAY and we could not be more excited to have our dancers back in the studio! New classes, new goals, new friendships and another season of doing what we love. We can’t wait to see everything our dancers accomplish this year!

And it’s not too late to join the fun! We still have openings in select classes for your little dancer. Come dance with us!

We are SO incredibly proud to congratulate Meghan Donnelly, 2025 Anthony Wayne graduate and Spotlight alum, on officially becoming a BGSU Falconette!

Megs, watching you continue to pursue your love of dance beyond the Spotlight stage makes us so proud. All of the years of training, dedication, hard work, growth, and passion have led you to this exciting new chapter—and we cannot wait to watch you shine at BGSU!

There is something so special about seeing our dancers graduate from Spotlight and continue doing what they love. You will always have a studio full of teachers, teammates, and dancers back home cheering you on every step of the way.

Congratulations, Megs! We are SO incredibly proud of you!

Happy Birthday, Miss Raye! We hope your day is as wonderful as you are, and we are SO happy to have you home! There’s something extra special about watching one of your own dancers grow up, chase her dreams, and then come back home to inspire the next generation. We are so lucky to have Miss Raye sharing her talent, passion, creativity, and love of dance with our students. There is nothing quite like having someone who grew up within our Spotlight family return to pour everything she has learned into the dancers coming up behind her. Once a Spotlight dancer, always a Spotlight dancer.

✨ Choreography magic with Kristin M. Thompson & Bradi Whitacre ! ✨

A HUGE thank you to these two incredible artists from K. Monique's Studio Of Dance for everything they brought to SDC this season!

We absolutely love having Kristin & Bradi in the studio!! Not only because they bring the BEST energy, but because of the intention and attention to detail they bring to every piece. They don’t just teach choreography; they take the time to help our dancers understand how to execute the movement, connect to it, and bring it to life.

Our dancers worked hard, learned so much, and walked away stronger artists because of their time together.

Now the real work begins… and we cannot WAIT to see these pieces come alive on stage this season!

🎓✨ SENIOR YEAR HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN!✨🎓

And just like that, our beautiful graduating seniors have started their final year of high school!

We could not be more proud of the incredible young women they have become. They are talented dancers, wonderful teammates, leaders, role models, and such an important part of our SDC family. It feels so bittersweet knowing we’ve reached their senior year, but we are SO excited for everything that lies ahead.

This year is about so much more than their final season on the competition stage. We get to watch them make memories, celebrate milestones, chase their goals, and begin figuring out where life will take them next both inside and outside of the studio.

Girls, soak it ALL in. The firsts, the lasts, the big moments and all the little ones in between. You’ve worked so hard to get here, and you deserve to enjoy every second of this chapter.

Senior year, here we go! We can’t wait to cheer you on every step of the way. Presenting our SDC Seniors of 2027!

TINY TOTS BALLET & TAP

The perfect first step into the wonderful world of dance!

Our Tiny Tots Ballet & Tap classes are designed especially for our littlest dancers, ages 2–5, introducing them to the fundamentals of ballet and tap in a fun, encouraging, and age-appropriate environment.

Throughout the year, dancers will work on basic ballet and tap technique, coordination, balance, musicality, classroom skills, and following directions—all while building confidence, independence, and a LOVE for dance!

MONDAYS | Studio C
Ages 2–3 • 4:30–5:30 PM
Ages 4–5 • 5:30–6:30 PM
Taught by Miss Christi

These classes are perfect for brand-new dancers as well as little ones ready to continue growing their skills. No previous dance experience is necessary!

Our Tiny Tots will also have the opportunity to show off everything they've learned in our annual recital at the end of the season.

SDC POOL PARTY 2026 IS IN THE BOOKS!💦☀️

What a perfect way to kick off a brand-new season! Our dancers had the BEST time getting together outside of the studio, taking a little break from choreography, and making memories with their teammates. 🫶

One of the sweetest moments of the day was revealing our SDC Big & Little Sisters for the season! Each little received a personalized picture frame from their big to celebrate their new pairing. This tradition is so special to us, not only because it’s fun, but because it gives our dancers another person in their corner to support them, and cheer them on all season long!

After a busy start to choreography, it was so good to see these girls simply get to be KIDS. Swimming, laughing, eating, celebrating, and enjoying their dance family.

The routines are starting, the Big/Littles have officially been revealed, and the memories are already being made...

Choreography is beginning to come together for SDC! Jackie Green Diamond kicked things off a few weeks ago. We always enjoy her visits and the exciting routines she prepares for us. Addison Jenkins returned to help again, for the fourth year! We made great memories and are excited to start rehearsals for these routines💎💫🤍
