✨✨Senior Spotlight! ✨✨Lilliana Gitler has been dancing at for 13 years. Lil is graduating from West Ottawa High School. She will be attending University of Michigan in the Fall to study neuroscience on a pre physician assistant track. Lil has a hard time naming just one favorite Avalon memory. She says, “The best times were just dancing every week with my friends! I love them so much and they are my favorite part of dance.” Lil’s advice for younger dancers is a quote from Miss Tori, “Be where your feet are.” Lil says, “I am thankful for the support from all of my teachers and my many friendships. Specifically with Olivia because dance has been something that has connected and brought us together since kindergarten. I am also thankful for my parents and the countless rides to dance and their constant encouragement.” We are so proud of Lil and will miss her positivity and leadership at the studio next year. Go be awesome, Lil!

Let’s hear it for our June Music Academy Student of the Month, Grae! 🥁✨ Grae is a total powerhouse on the drums!

He started his musical journey with us two years ago at just 6 years old, and now he’s ready to take the rock world by storm. 🤘 Mr. Evan tells us that Grae is always prepared, brings a great attitude to every lesson, and: our favorite part: he hits the drums hard!

We can’t wait to see Grae take the stage at The Park Theatre on August 28th! He’ll be performing "Wonderwall" by Oasis with a live band at our big 90's Rock Drum Recital. It’s going to be legendary! 🎸🔥

When he isn't crushing beats and grooves, Grae loves riding dirt bikes, playing basketball, and camping up north at a cabin. He’s a big fan of Queen, Michael Jackson, and Oasis (of course!).

Grae’s advice for other students? "Nothing replaces practicing & always try to count along." Playing along with songs is the best way to keep a steady tempo. 🎶

Talk about a walk down memory lane! 🎸✨ Mr. Rich has been having a blast this week hanging out with the awesome students at Macatawa Bay Middle School! He was there Tuesday and today, and he’ll be back on Thursday to chat about summer music lessons and jam out on the guitar for the kids.

Did you know Mr. Rich is a West Ottawa alum? 🦅 Coming back to Mac Bay brought back so many memories: though the school looks totally different now! Back in his day, it was all about being on the "West Side" or "East Side" and navigating Pod 1 or Pod 2 for the pit meetings. For those who remember the color groups, Mr. Rich was officially "East - 1 - Blue"! 😂 Does anyone else remember those crazy concepts, or is he just feeling nostalgic?

It’s been so fun connecting with the next generation of WO musicians. Speaking of West Ottawa, our dance recital rehearsals are happening this week at the brand new West Ottawa Auditorium on June 5 & 6! It’s going to be an incredible weekend of music and movement. 🩰🎭
