Fun morning on the WAH

Well after a rough weekend in South Haven last week we were excited to do some fun fishing this morning to kick off the holiday weekend. A Huge thank you to all who have served! Comin through the Holland channel and seeing all the alewives jumping made it an easy decision to take a couple passes in the mud and we ended up doing circles in there the whole time. It was a pick away at em kinda morning and finished 8 for 12 with 4 kings, 3 coho, and a nice steelhead that gave the guys on the north pier a good show. Most bites were 20 to 40 with one coming in 50. Moonshine rvs were good early then the small stingers took over. Nice morning in the skinny water!

Good with the bad caught 4 kings this morning basically straight out from saugy in 40 to 50 fow. Next stop slipping sat In Soha saturday in preparation for the pro-am

Got out this morning and ended up being a slower grind kind of day. Turned right out of holland and worked the 30 to 50 line all the way to Port sheldon. Best action happened aroumd the bubbler in the warmer water late morning.
Went 7 for 8 with one throwback king and 5 kings from 6 to 18 # and a 10.5 # brown with was the prettiest brown I've seen.

Heard the kings were chewing up in the Grand Haven mud so we decided to go check it out for ourselves this morning. Set lines around 7 am and had all our action between 7:12 to 8:25. Then it shut right down for us anyways. Finished 6 for 8 all kings. Biggest was 17 pounds. Fished 30 to 50 fow with 45 to 50 being the best. Nothing beats spring kings in the mud! Had some great battles!

Went 17-20 on the coho. 30 to 50 fow south of the piers.Everything worked .Thin fins, spoons, and dodgers with peanut flies. Probably the smallest box of cohos that we've had. Was good to work out some kinks
