🚨10th Grader Alexis Smith Prevents Possible Catastrophe🚨
On Thursday, September 18, while Alexis was riding the bus home, the driver suffered a medical emergency, resulting in unresponsiveness... Alexis took immediate action, safely bringing the bus to a stop, using the radio to call for emergency help, and assessing the driver's pulse and respiration until medical responders arrived🙏 We are thankful for her quick thinking and courage‼️

We also want to recognize the GACTC Health and Medical Science instructors for the hands-on training Alexis has received from the program💙🤍 This has prepared her to respond calmly and appropriately in an emergency... Thank you for your heroism, Alexis🙌🫡
