This week we will be playing Zombie Disc Golf. Last year this was a great time and ended with a finish that will be remembered forever! The short version is that once the zombie team makes it in the basket, then the survivors have to make it into the basket on their next throw to not be added to the zombie team. Survive to the end of the holes and kill the zombies to win! Below are the detailed rules if you want to get into the nitty gritty of how everything works.
Detailed Rules:
A player is determined to be zombie zero.
All other players are survivors.
Everyone plays holes individually except the zombie horde that plays as a team.
Furthest out always goes first.
Once the zombie horde makes it in the basket all survivors closer than them must make it in the basket to survive from their current lie, all survivors that fail to make it in the basket become part of the zombie horde
The number of strokes that a survivor takes only matters if they're taking a double bogey in which case they automatically become a part of the zombie horde
Zombies only get throws equal to par to make it into the basket
Survivors can earn the birdie chip and it can be given up for protection if they would miss their throw after the zombies make theirs, they still become a part of the zombie horde with a double bogey
Survivors also can earn the bogey chip, if they take another single bogey while in possession of the bogey chip they become part of the zombie horde
If there is only one survivor after the last hole they win, if there are multiple survivors they have to beat the zombie hoard in a putt challenge.
Survivors putt first starting from circles edge.
If they make at least one putt as a group then all survivors are safe, and the zombies putt to see who is on the chopping block, for each putt the survivors made they may eliminate up to that number of zombies that missed their putt.
If the survivors all missed their putt then all remaining zombies have a chance to make a putt to eliminate a survivor for each made putt, this continues until either all zombies are eliminated or all survivors are eliminated, with the line moving back one step after each round.
If no survivors and no zombies make a putt the line stays where it's at and doesn't move back.
If all survivors are eliminated then Zombie zero wins the day.
If all zombies are eliminated there will be a sudden death play off between remaining survivors for the win.
