4:00 am Wake Up Call to provide bicycle tech support for the Max Performance Triathlons Title 9 Women’s Sprint Triathlon in Hopkinton State Park. This is Max Performance’s 20th year producing triathlons for the racing community, and, due to the forecasted inclement weather, race director Tim Richmond and his team made the decision to start the race 30 minutes earlier at 7:30am, meaning transition opened at 5:30am in the dark, shortening days of September. However, Grace Bicycles Ambassadors Jen Fields and Janice Gray enthusiastically helped man the tech support tent, preparing bikes by pumping tires, supplying endcaps, removing mirrors, and performing safety checks. Their combined triathlon experiences also help calm the nerves of athletes both new and experienced. The rain held out for most of the swim and bike, and we stayed out on the bike course supporting and cheering on amazing athletes.
Thank you to Ironmen Jen and Janice for your wisdom and help at the tent and Janice out on the course!!! Great to see Ambassador Julie K. racing!
